Chapter 22: Tier 1 Normal Dungeon part VIII

Ian shoots the wolf that was struggling before he lost control of it.

*Bang!

The first bullet was shot. 

*Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! 

and the continuous shot was heard. Every shot strikes the body of the red wolf. Out of the six-shot, 3 hits the body and the other three on its head.

The Pistol Firepower was not destructive since it's just in a normal category. But the penetration was very strong since even the hide of the monster can't deflect the bullet.

The Alpha female Red Wolf died from the shot on its head that leaves a hole on it, Blood keeps pouring out of the body from both the head and the body where the bullet hole can be seen.

Ian sighed in relief when he killed the red wolf. It's his first time killing a monster but it didn't feel foreign to him who killed humans.

He feels his body exhausted from just that, thankfully the buff still didn't disappear, or else standing will be hard for him, he needs to train his body, he thought.

Three people that see him killing the Red Wolf have different kinds of reactions.

The porter girl was amazed by how strong he is since she thought his pistol was part of his power.

Sona was looking at him a little confused. At first, she was curious but now she was confused. She was perplexed about why a person with his caliber working as a porter. She knows that he was the one who cast the ability to make the monster fall and if what she deduced about his ability is, then his rank is about A or S rank from the ability alone so that confuses her.

And the last person was, of course, Lindo who was beside Ian. He just finished killing all the small fry and shooting the alpha when his teammates were ganging it up was difficult for him even with his ability. So he leaves it to the three B ranked.

He was just about to rest when he heard the gunshot which is not his. What he saw stunned him since even with his magical sniper, it can't penetrate the hide of the alpha skin so he was stunned. 

The other reason he didn't join the fight was also because of this reason. He can't penetrate the Alpha skin but can still aim for the eyes which is their weakness, but because of his other teammates, it became harder so he didn't join.

He knew how expensive magic firearms were with that kind of penetration so he was full of greed looking at the gun in Ian's hand. He knows that Ian was just a low-level Gifter and he can only kill the wolves because of its restriction on its body thanks to Sona's skills which he thought.

Lindo was already planning to rob Ian when he killed him later which made him smile wickedly. He saw Ian look at him for a moment that made his smile wider but when he saw how Ian was indifferent toward him like he was just an ant, made his grin froze. He didn't think this weakling dared to ignore him which fueled his anger

He already thinks of many ways to torture the guy when they finish the raid.

Ian who saw his greedy eyes eyeing his pistol ignored him completely since he can already think of what the guy will do.

If he takes action on him it's not too late to fight back.

He looks at the porter girl looking at him strangely and asks.

"What's wrong?"

The porter girl was dazed for a moment, she didn't know what to reply to his question. She has so many questions like, where did the pistol come from? Why are you being a porter despite being strong, or is it your hobby to become a porter? Etcetera.

She didn't want to be disrespectful to him since she knows that he Is strong, she also knows the arrogance of a high-rank gifter so she didn't want to offend him by asking rude questions and resulting in her death.

Looking at her face and body language Ian more or less know what she is thinking so he said;

"It's ok. You can ask me any questions since you also answered my question earlier." to ease her.

Hearing what he said, she looked at his smiling face and blushed. Her face was beet red, she didn't know if it's from embarrassment or something else but when she looked at his eye that had a white Iris it mesmerized her and made her blush.

"T..then can I ask why you are being a p..porter?" She asked timidly.

Ian was confused when he heard her question. Is it bad to be a porter? he thought.

Sona who heard the porter girl question made her blink her eyes. She was also interested in his answer and inch closer to the porter girl to hear his reasons. She looks at Ian's face with the expectation to only see his confused face.

She didn't know why he is confused, but when she thinks about the girl question she also added; 

"She means why are you working as a porter despite being a strong gifter, I think that's what she means to ask, right?" 

Being asked by Sona, the girl nodded her head.

Ian hearing her also nodded his head from understanding and explain;

"It's not like I am hiding my ability or I like being a porter. I just recently re-awakened so I still didn't report it to my manager for revaluation for my rank."

The two nodded their heads in understanding but were still surprised hearing about him re-awakening since it's a rare occurrence. Several people who re-awakened were all powerhouses around the world since being awakened made their ability powerful, but not all of them. 

Because sometimes the people who reawakened have an ability that ranked D below but it didn't mean they didn't become stronger since all the people who receive it made a name even if it's just in their country.

Re-Awakened was a term Gifter called those people who have their ability upgraded to a stronger ability.

And Ian uses those excuses since he also heard it from his sister since her sister was also one of that Gifter that made their name around the world after being re-awakened.
