Chapter 43: Goblin Dungeon Part 2

[Floor Cleared]

Ian didn't pay attention to the voice that he didn't know where it comes from.

Instead, he looks at the corpses of the goblins that were dissolving on the floor.

Just like what he read from the report, the bodies disappeared after a few minutes and what appeared was the crystal cores of different sizes.

The normal goblins [CC] have the size of beans, while the two taller goblins were just a little bigger than beans. Their worth can't even be the same as the [CC] of the wolves. But he didn't mind it.

{A/n: [CC] stands for Crystal Core}

With a wave of his hand, all the [CC] that was on the floor hovered from its position which he directly stored on his inventory after they glid to his position with his control.

Ian was still on the lowest floor so the meager crystal he got was understandable to him.

He chose this type of dungeon not only for its crystals but also to train his ability. That's why he was not bothered with its meager [CC] drop.

And he knows that the deeper the floor the stronger it's monster which is also the same for their [CC].

The journey to the deepest floor was not easy for Ian even though he was an A-rank Gifter.

After he finds the gate leading to the second floor, what he confronts is of course the goblins, but they are not normal goblins anymore.

There's a total of 21 enemies he encounters on the second floor. Leading them was a hob-goblin with the same height and build as an adult human.

The only difference was its skin color and its face that was still ugly even though it evolved.

And it's 20 minions was holding a katana as their weapons, just like how the leader of the first floor.

Ian was surprised at first, but that's all. He didn't think that goblins in this world were weapon users, unlike in the fantasy that he read.

The only question he had was where did their weapon come from that it already twice he think off. Although they were not top quality, they still can be used by newbie Gifters.

But the problem was they couldn't loot the weapon of the monster after they died since it was also absorbed by the dungeon itself just like their body but there's an exception on it which is called dropped.

The fight was hard, especially when Ian was surrounded by twenty goblins. Flights were impossible with how low the ceiling is.

But Ian still defeated the hob-goblin and goblins in five minutes. He didn't come out as a victor without a scratch of course. Even though his enemies were just a goblin, they still inflicted him with countless cuts on his bodies which is insignificant to him.

With his [Weight Manipulation] the battle was finished in the shortest time. He first used it on the leader of the group to immobilize its movement so it won't join the fray he was in, being surrounded by the samurai goblins.

But with every resistance from the leader made him lose control of his other target that made him full of cuts.

But it didn't hinder his slaughter, every shot he made there is also a goblin that died that after a full three minutes made him slaughtered all the normal goblins and 2 minutes before he subdued the hobgoblins.

The hobgoblin's armor was much sturdier that made his bullets can't penetrate deeper, so 2 minutes was it takes to fill its every limb with bullets.

He tried shooting its face but due to the helmet with unknown components, his bullets can't even make a dent in it. His only choice was to shoot the limbs where there is no protection.

Ian was a little exhausted from the battle which made him rest for five minutes on the second floor after the mysterious voice announced its clearance.

He has a potion for recovery but he didn't use it, since he didn't know how many strong opponents were still there.

So he let his exhaustion recover naturally which was also fast due to his body being at its peak form thanks to the pills.

So five minutes was all it takes for Ian to restore his exhausted stamina which is not possible even for the SSS Ranked Gifters.

Opening his eyes, he saw the bodies already gone, with only the [CC] of the monster remaining. The crystal core of the leader has the size of the coins which is bigger than those cannon fodder goblins earlier.

After taking all the crystal on his inventory Ian directly finds the gate leading to the next floor.

Finding the floor leading to the next floor, he entered it without hesitation and his next opponent was 30 Hobgoblins with a sword in their hands, leading them was also a Hobgoblins but it's holding a bronze spear. And just like how the previous leader, its body also has full body armor.

But it's minions don't have any luxury to wear armor which made Ian sigh in relief. If he faces 30 Hob-goblin with full-body armor, he knows that he won't win with just his Tiger Pistol since it won't have any effect on the armor for an unknown reason.

He can fight them using his ability, but he can't win against them in this type of dungeon that restricts his movement.

He can't even make the floor of the dungeon float since it's part of the dungeon so his choice was to retreat if that happened.

Ian's used a hit and fly tactic on the 3rd floor which is a very effective way to mow down the number of the monsters.

The Hob-goblins move slowly, that before they can get near Ian, their number was already 1/10 of their original number.

Especially the full armored leader that has a snail pace on Ian's eyes.

His strategy works perfectly that it only takes Ian 5 minutes to kill their leader and clear the Floor.

After the corpses disappear Ian who didn't expect anything finally saw his first monster's item dropped, which is the spear of the leader that didn't disappear with the rest.

Although it's a weapon that he didn't want to wield for its hard-used, it will still fetch an impressive amount of crystal if he sells it.

Weapons that the monster dropped on the [DD] dungeon was more expensive than the weapons from [WD].

Because obtaining a weapon on [DD] was rare, that made it's quality also top quality especially the materials used from creating it that was unknown to the world and also the main reason why it's so expensive.
