"Say aaaaaa," Leon teased while putting a spoon of porridge in front of Charlie's face. Leon's behaviour had made a lot of customers in the bakery eyed them both with a confused look on their faces. They all quietly laughed at the two boys. Charlie's face immediately went red after realizing that they both were being watched by the customers. Charlie then snatched the spoon from Leon's hand and ate the porridge by himself, causing Leon to laugh at him. Leon knew that Charlie was embarrassed to be fed by him. Probably because there were too many people watching him and that he felt like he was already big enough to eat by himself.

"Is it good? Hehe," Leon continued his teasing, smiling sheepishly. Charlie who was calmly enjoying the porridge rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Relax~ I was just testing you. Alright, I'm gonna go to the kitchen now or else Granny would think i purposely skipped my shift. I need my money, you know?" Leon said before standing up from his chair and walked away towards the kitchen.

"As if I care," Charlie mumbled to himself with an annoyed expression plastered on his face. Probably still mad that Leon treated him as if he was a child and also caused everyone in the bakery to look at them.

The bell on the front door tinkled indicating that a new customer had walked into the bakery. Charlie was about to look at the customer who had just arrived when all of the sudden, his head started to feel dizzy. He then laid his head down onto the table to try and calm his head off while slowly closing his eyes. However, his plan of resting was suddenly disturbed by someone slamming his table. Charlie was startled by that person's action and instantly brought his head back up to face the person.

"Evelyn?!" Charlie accidentally yelled, shocked that Evelyn was standing right in front of him.

"Huh, hi Charlie," Evelyn greeted while trying to catch her breath. Charlie could see that she was sweating a lot. After she had ran away from the school, she immediately went straight towards Charlie's house but unfortunately, no one answered her there. So, she made the decision to go to the bakery.

"Aren't you supposed to be in school right now?" Charlie asked with a confused and worried expression shown on his face.

"Hehe, I purposely skipped school today. It's not like I do this often anyway," Evelyn responded while smiling sheepishly. Charlie unconsciously smiled when he witnessed Evelyn's adorable smile.

"You look like you're thirsty. Do you want any drink?" Charlie asked. He looked genuinely worried when he asked the question. His reaction was enough to tell that he really cared for Evelyn a lot. Evelyn went silent for a while, thinking of what drink she should have.

"Chocolate frappe, please!" Evelyn cheerfully said with an excited manner. Charlie slightly nodded before standing up from his chair and walked towards the counter.

"Helen, can I have one chocolate frappe? It's for a friend of mine," Charlie ordered from one of the worker who was working at the counter. He politely handed her $20. Helen, the new worker in the bakery nodded and took the money. She then gave him his change before sending the order to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Charlie went back to his original table and sat on his seat lazily. He once again laid his head onto the table to continue his rest. Evelyn put her hand onto Charlie's forehead gently.

"It's still hot," Evelyn thought to herself. Suddenly, she remembered about the homeworks that were given by the teachers who teached them before lunch time started. She unzipped her backpack and took out a few books from the backpack.

"Char—" just as she was about to inform Charlie about the homeworks for that day, she instantly stopped herself from doing so after seeing how Charlie had already slept even though he was sleeping on the table. Evelyn smiled while watching the sleeping boy in front of her. She then took out a small notebook and listed all of the homeworks that she got from school. Meanwhile, Helen who had just finished preparing Charlie's order for Evelyn, smiled after witnessing the sweet view.

"School days are really nice, isn't it? Especially when it's about first love," Helen thought to herself.

At school~

It was biology class and Kevin who was sitting at his seat seemed like he was bothered by something. He regretted his actions as well as the ugly things he had said to Evelyn when he was fighting with her. He knew that Evelyn really loved her father because he was the only biological family member that she had left. Even though she was constantly getting abused by her own father, she had never felt hatred towards him because she knew that she was the cause of her mother's death.

Kevin sighed in frustration before hiding his face in his hands. He definitely did not expect himself having a fight with Evelyn. Suddenly, Mr. Dickson walked in causing the whole classroom to look at him confused. The once loud class immediately turned quiet. Harry quickly voiced out.

"Uhm, sir. It's currently Miss Tee's class right now," Harry said, looking confused at the teacher's arrival.

"Yeah, I know. Miss Tee wouldn't be coming to school for now because she has some unavoidable things to do in her village so I will be the one taking her classes for the whole week," Mr. Dickson explained to all of the students in class.

"Ohhh," everyone nodded, understanding the situation by Mr. Dickson's explanation. The old man put all of his books and files onto the table and took out a piece of paper.

"Evelyn, please come in front and take this form," he called without looking at the students because he was too busy rearranging the papers that fell out of its file.

"Evelyn?" He called out again, still waiting for a response. Mr. Dickson then looked around the classroom to find the girl.

"Class, where is Evelyn?" He questioned the students in the classroom. His question had made Kevin felt uneasy. He tried to cover up the fact that Evelyn had skipped school.

"Ah, uhm Evelyn... She.. Ah! A teacher called for her just now," Kevin voiced out nervously. Mr. Dickson slowly nodded at his poor explanation causing Kevin to sigh in relief. A person who heard Kevin's explanation smirked. The person then started talking with a high pitched voice.

"Uh that's not true, sir. Evelyn went to skip school and Kevin is one of the person who helped her!" said the person. Her voice was so loud that it had caught everyone's attention. They were all shocked when they heard the sudden explanation.
