the deal

"Shall we go in now, princess" he replied unfazed of the mockery they were doing.

Amphitrite, knew that instant, that it was his real face, by his reaction. But what affected her most was the demon wasn't attracted to her.

She was the most beautiful mermaid here. As the daughter of Oceanus, she had the most powers too. 'Is it because I am mermaid' she smiled at him and snapped her fingers, in the next instant her legs appeared.

She was now wearing a blue dress embellished with stars, the dress was flowing like waves of the sea. Her big doe eyes were shining and her midnight hairs were flowing in the sky.

But Asbeel did not spare a second glance to her which further infuriated her. She stomped her feet in further annoyance. And moved forward, filling her words with the anger, "if you are eager to die, then why not?"

With that she turned back and entered since their angel had allowed the demon to enter, the guards bowed and went back to their places, giving a final look of disgust to the demon.

Asbbel followed Amphitrite, with a glint in his eyes, if things went well, he would soon spend a new year on earth.

He wanted to see the new version of his little angel. And want to spend the new year with her. Finally, he reached the front of his freedom, the castle of Oceanus.

The whole castle was extremely shiny and embellished with rare treasures. It was aqua with some shades of turquoise and cyan. The castle was very big and it had seven entrances for the mermaids to come in. It seemed to have many floors for the mermaids to live and its roofs shaped possibly round.

It was completely covered by a magical spell, where the air was available, so taking a breath was easy.

After what felt like an eternity and taking umpteenth turns in the halls that may have stunned any living being with its grandeur, he finally reached the throne where the sea god was sitting like an emperor.

'Full of leisure and luxury, and they call us selfish' he sneered at the view in front of him.

The moment they entered every eye fell on them, walking with his head held high he walked looking at the stunned and ugly face of the son and daughters of the sea god.

Amphitrite bowed her head in front of his father as everyone did, but Asbeel stood high, there was no respect or fear in his eyes. If anything then there was boredom filled in his eyes. Like he was reluctant to meet the god.

"What are you doing here Asbeel? I thought you had promised me to never come back," spoke Oceanus looking at the demon walking as this place belonged to him.

Asbeel chuckled at the words of the sea god, " since when did you start believing in the words of a demon?" his words were cold and full of mockery.

Everyone was stunned at his words. How could a demon have the courage to talk to God like that? They were sure that the god would hit him with his weapon and kill him that instant.

Since sea god is famous for its anger, and hatred towards demons. But surprisingly the god remained seated, there was no anger or disgust if any there could be seen a glint, an excitement or anxiousness that is.

"Why are you here?" he asked again, this time his voice was one octave higher.

But Asbeel had that same bored look on his face as if he was standing there forcefully.

"The god of the sea, ocean, you have killed many of my fellow demons, and I am here to know the reason and to stop this brutal killing," Asbeel finally replied with some seriousness.

Oceanus laughed coldly, everyone around him bowed their head, as his aura increased, bringing all the servers to their knees. Even his sons and daughters were having difficulty in standing as their knees were giving away. But Asbeel stood there tall looking straight into his eyes.

"Since when have demons become your fellow, Asbeel? You don't belong to hell" said Oceanus continuing his aura, "return now, and I will forget you have ever come here."

"I am afraid that won't be possible, either you stop the massacre or war will take place," said Asbeel with nonchalance, as if he was talking about the beauty of this place.

"And you think I am afraid of it?" said Oceanus raising a brow?

"When did I say that? But I want you to remind me that I still have control over Nephilim, and I would make sure they participate in the war," he said, running a hand in his hair. "But if you stop the massacre I will return you to the heart of the sea" he added, looking at the scowling face of the sea god.

And as expected the ugly scowled face of sea god changed into excitement and glee.

"And why would I trust you, a demon?" said Oceanus, raising a brow, but the glee in his voice clearly indicated that he was more than happy with the negotiation.

"You don't have any choice, sea god. There will either be war, or you can have the heart of the sea back. Even a fool can judge which was a better option." he replied laughing coldly.

"And what if I take a sea of heart and again start the mass killing of demons." asked sea god again

"Then the heart of the sea would return to me, I can throw you from here anytime, the sea god. How would it feel to lose your empire to a mere demon," asked Asbeel his words were still filled with laughter.

But Oceanus knew well that he was serious, Asbeel could rule the sea whenever he wanted. So without wasting any time he nodded.

"Fine I agree"
