“Kidnap or not?”

DELIAN'S P.O.V.

I hesitated in the doorway of my father's room, unsure whether to knock or deal with him later.

Since I got back home a day before yesterday, Dad has constantly nagged me on who the little girl was and why I brought them home with me? Or if I had kidnapped them?

Well, technically, my acts couldn't be considered kidnapping, right? I mean, is it still abduction if she was sleeping unprotected on the side of a busy road with no one or anywhere to turn to? For all I know, I actually did her a favour.

Well, I didn't really care anymore; all I cared about was the fact that I had managed to complicate my life by bringing her home, and worst of all, the girl refused to wake up due to a very high fever that she had undoubtedly picked up from sleeping out in the cold, and I had to stay up all night trying to bring it down, and as if to add to my troubles, her baby kept crying nonstop!
