“Frying pan or fire?”

NELLIE’S P.O.V.

He had to be joking, right?

Wasn't this some kind of kidnapping? I didn't know this boy from anywhere, and he was acting both scary and nice to me.

Who was he? What did he want from me, and, most importantly, what did he do to my Light?

My fear grew a hundredfold as I looked around the bathroom.

This was no ordinary bathroom; it appeared as though it was built for a king!

What on earth did I get myself into?

Not wanting to irritate him any further, I decided to simply follow his instructions.

I locked the bathroom door and nonchalantly, brushed my teeth, after that, I stepped out of my clothes.

Discarding my clothes was a very big mistake because right in front of me was the biggest mirror I'd ever seen on a bathroom wall, and staring back at me was the ugliness that had become me.

I never wanted to look, never wanted to see my true self, unmasked by my discarded clothes, to this extent.
