Demonyo

"Pfft... Full of openings." Liam parried his knife with his. He then punched the boy's enrage face, breaking his nose in the process. He instantly lost consciousness.

This happened at a fast rate. But that didn't stop the remaining goons from reloading their guns.

They once again open fire directly at Liam.

"Die!" At point-blank range, the enemy will surely be dead.

Liam deflected these bullets using his wings and controlled his floating dagger.

He waves his fingers and the dagger accurately slashed both of the two's tendons. Rendering them unable to stand up.

They collapse on the ground and winced from the pain.

"Sheesh~ That's easy." Liam laughed.

Liam then approach one of them and raised his head. This guy's feet were bleeding and his face shows intense fear from Liam.

"Now tell me...Why did you do this?" Liam's right eye turned scarlet. His smile was creepy and his entire body radiated fierce demonic energy.

The man literally pissed himself and spoke.

"I needed the money to pay my mother's hospital fees. Without it, she'll die!" He started weeping.

Liam pondered. Human nature? I guess for love, people will risk even their own lives, huh. Even I will resort to this if I'm in his shoes.

But another question popped up in his mind. How about these weapons? They look high-tech and can fetch a huge amount of money. Where did they get these?

"How about the weapons? Where did they come from?" Liam curiously asked.

"It was given to me by some dude. He said we need to return it after robbing the bank." He immediately replied.

"That's all? You're not giving him any share of the loot?" Liam suspiciously asked.

"He just wants his guns back. He never mentioned any fee." The man was starting to calm down.

"Eh?" Then what was that man's purpose in giving them the gun in the first place?

He won't believe bullsh*ts like 'he just wanted to spread evil' or 'he finds havoc entertaining'.

That guy must have some reasons for doing this. But what was it? I really wanna investigate and all but it will be a waste of time.

Liam pondered. Now he has two paths in front of him.

The first one was doing a simple clean-up in the city and increase his popularity as a hero. It may be slow, but at least it was a steady pace.

The second one was to investigate more about this pressing issue. And to satisfy his curiosity. Who knows? He might find the big boss and initiate a boss fight. That will be awesome and thrilling!

Liam laughed wildly.

"When will you return the weapons? And where will he appear?" Liam asked for the last time.

"Exactly at noon. He'll be waiting for us in the parking lot on the Shang Salcedo Place." The man answered.

"Thanks! But I'm sorry. Stealing is still a crime so I still need the police to take care of you guys." Liam felt sympathetic towards the man.

He was doing all of this for his mother after all. But crime was a crime.

This man focused his eyes on Liam. The young man in front of him was like the God of Death. He then heard him whispering something underneath his breath while staring in a random direction. All of a sudden, a stack of cash appeared in his hand.

He stuffed this cash in the man's hand and patted his head. "Good job uncle! You're quite a filial child!"

The man teared up. He uttered with utmost difficulty, "Thank you, young man."

Liam gave him a new set of money because there's a chance the police will take it if he picked up the money inside this bank.

"Adios, amigo!" He picked up the guns and called Azrael.

"Can you take all of this and put it in your pocket dimension sh*t?" Liam shouted.

In which Azrael obediently listened.

'Azrael is hiding something important from me...' Liam wasn't an idiot. He felt the change of treatment from Azrael.

'Nah, who cares. As long as I enjoy myself then that's fine.' He shrugged his shoulders.

When he was about to activate his wings, he heard the loud siren of the police cars.

"Not just in movies, but even in the real world. The police are always late." Liam sighed.

He decided to wait for them.

When the police saw Liam, they immediately surround him. The others head towards the crime scene.

"Raise your hands!" The chief police shouted in his megaphone.

When Liam saw all of this take place, he smiled and slowly raise his hands.

But in mid-air, he stopped and put both his hands in his pockets.

"Idiots! I took care of the culprits already. You guys are like turtles, too slow." He shook his head in disappointment.

"What?" The chief was stunned.

A subordinate ran towards him and reported what they saw on the bank's hidden cams.

"I see." The chief somehow got the point.

"Men! Put your guns down!" He shouted.

He gave the megaphone to the man beside him and approached Liam.

"Oh?" Liam raised an eyebrow.

"I'm Police Captain Matt. Nice meeting you good, sir." He put his hands in front of Liam.

"Nice to meet you too Matt." Liam dropped the honorifics and his title. For pointing guns at him for no reason, he already bore a grudge.

'I'm not petty or anything, ok? They pointed a ton of guns at me for Pete's sake!'

But he'll shake this man's hand. He's not that narrow-minded.

Matt's lips twitched.

'Arrogant! He didn't even introduce himself!'

But his face was still smiling. This man might be someone important. Better not offend him.

'His hands are too smooth and fair. It's like a maiden's hand. His fingers are also long without any calluses on them.'

'This guy... He's too young. A man without any knowledge of how harsh the world is. A typical rich young master.'

Because of Liam's lower mask, he can't see how he look. But this didn't stop his imagination from running around.

"I'll be going now. I'm a busy man y'know." Liam released his hands and started walking away. "By the way, I gave that guy my personal money, help him give it to his mom."

"Exosia: Flight!"

Black thunderclouds surrounded him entirely. The police were taken aback and look at the phenomena with gawking eyes.

After a while, Liam emerged at it with a pair of black wings on his back.

"Cool..." Someone uttered.

"A hero?" Matt asked.

'But this is the first time I saw him. A hero apprentice? Or maybe a sidekick?'

"What's your name?" Matt shouted.

"Me?" Liam was taken aback. He never thought what his hero name would be.

'Since I sold my soul to Azrael, a fricking demon. And my wings and outfits are all black... Then maybe I'll call myself... a demon?'

He smiled and flapped his wings.

"Then I shall call myself...Demonyo!" After that, he flew away at blinding speed.

"Demonyo? As in a demon?" A random dude on the back thought out loud.

"A demon hero..."

"It's my first time seeing one"

All the men there were all stunned at Liam's way of departing. His very image stuck on their minds.

"Get back to work!" Matt shouted.

Hearing his commands, the police snapped out of it.

"Hehe. I did pretty well as a hero, huh?" Liam nudged Azrael with his arm.

"Stop it. Okay fine, you did well." Azrael grumpily replied.

Liam rubbed his nose contentedly. His face was flush red from excitement.

'Shall I go to class? I still have time to attend the first subject. Then I'll go where that guy who owns the weapon before twelve.'

"Azrael. I'm tired of flying. Teleport me to my school." He ordered.
