Chapter 124 The flames ravaging her domain.
From a bird's eye view one might see a living mass of creatures chasing something or someone, like moths they burned the moment they got too close, that is what one might think by seeing burnt corpses and plants in its trail but of one looked more closely they would notice that their bodies were filled with holes, cut to pieces or dried up.
The corpses of these creatures and plants were burnt after they died.
Thousands if not dozens of thousands of both beasts, insects and plants surrounded Deva.
Each of them attacking her from all directions.
There was no way out for Deva, even if she were to escape this encirclement she would be surrounded again the next moment, understanding that fleeing was useless Deva stood still and conjured her aura and summoned Violetta.
Deva couldn't understand the absurdity of the sight around her.
All creatures around her if not all the creatures of this domain possessed aura. Despite their use of their aura was rudimentary, the number of aura users surrounding her was overwhelming.
As such, Deva used the limited space around her at her advantage and what one could think as a competition between these creatures.
"Violetta don't be nervous, you just need to strike them the moment they enter inside the field."
Around the two myriads of colours mixed with each other but there was a hundred metre radius around the two that weakened the diffusion of the aura of thousands of creatures.
Deva focused herself suppressing the aura of whoever entered the 'field' and in keeping out the aura of these creatures on approaching them from the distance, while Violetta have been given the task to confront and intercept whoever entered inside the 'field'.
The moment a creature is dealt with Violetta would then burn their remains so that they wouldn't be in her way.
"With this pace we might even need days if not months to reach that tree." Deva pointed towards her front where a massive tree could be seen.
The tree pierced the clouds and its peak unable to be seen from the ground.
"Since we are going to be like this until we reach that tree we better take it with calm and without rushing too much.Tsk, this domain better have its time flow different from the outside or else I'm a screwed..." Deva took several steps with difficulty as the creatures in front of her field tried to resist the force pushing them back.
A single aura was clashing with several thousands and still managed to push them back even if that was for few metres.
"Oh, here's another wave. Good luck with that Violetta." Deva yelled as she continued to walk.
Several creatures roared as they charged inside Deva's aura field.
Their momentum lessened and the density of their aura coating their bodies considerably weakened but they still continued their charge towards Deva.
A purple woman soundlessly roared as she jumped in the middle of these creatures.
*slash*
*thud* *thud* *thud*
With a movement of her sword Violetta cut off in two several creatures, yet for some reason the numbers of fallen creatures way more surpassed of what Violetta should've slained with her sword.
As flames started to envelope the dead creatures, severals spikes that held them in the ground slowly retracted. The remaining creatures whimpered in fear not because of the spikes but of Violetta as they watched one of their members being dried up of their emotions just by the slighest touch from her.
A being without emotion is something comparable to a rock, they don't move nor try to defend themselves meaning that even if Violetta enveloped them in flames they would just remain still and let the flames consume them.
Violetta soundlessly moaned in ecstasy as she killed and feasted on these creatures.
"Violetta! There are other snacks in my left!"
Without even giving another glance at the remainings of her victims, Violetta charged towards her food once again.
"Ah, so cute." Just smiled as she mainteined her aura.

Deva conjured several spears made out of flames and threw them towards the incoming beasts.
While she did so she ate and drank her supplies as Violetta replaced her.
It was now her turn to intercept with the hostile creatures and Violetta to suppress them and weaken them.
Several explosions resounded above Deva but she continued to feast on her food and water.
*crash*
Several bodies were then crushed by two walls and released the sound of their bones breaking, blood was pushed out from their compressed bodies along with their mangled flesh yet the revolting sight was quickly disposed of as flames enveloped these remains. Deva couldn't remember how many times she witnessed these kinf of scenes but it brought her to want to see more.
Different creatures meaning that their insides and external appearences were different from each other, some part of their bodies are softer than others or had a unique function inside their bodies or some more robust and likely to remain intact even if Deva or Violetta were to hit them.
Those part were collected by Deva when she was able to.
Each time she or Violetta would take turns to take on these creatures they would gain massive chunks of experience.
Deva couldn't ask more. Grinding level was disliked by her not because it was difficult but because it bored her, slashing and killing the same creature over and over again for an indeterminate time bored her...but here each creature was unique or atleast so varied that Deva wouldn't be bored for atleast several weeks.
An exhilarating experience while gaining levels was the best outcome for Deva.
Moreover as days passed living together and killing these creatures Deva started to understand their words.
Deva still could understand the emotions of these creatures by their body language, roars or whimpers but understanding their language made easier to understand them and understand more complex emotions.
These beasts and plants while intelligent they could only convey the most primitive and pure emotions such as anger and fear.
The sight of their companions being massacred either fueled their anger or fear yet for some reason they continued to charge at them even if that was at the cost of their own lives.
In their path only death and pain for these creatures awaited them if they continued to charge at the two.
From a bird's eye view one could see a long trail of blackened soil, plant or beast avoided to step on this trail but still chased towards the end of this still ongoing disaster.
The Mother of these creatures, mother of these massacred creatures was leisurely sitting in her throne at the peak of the tallest tree on her domain.
