Chapter 52

Chapter 52: Interogation

(MC Clone POV)

It's been three weeks since the main one entered the world of dragon age. Our earth bending finally caught up with the others thanks to the guidance of the sand benders. When it comes to conventional bending, we are officially bending masters. It was now time to master the sub bending areas. And so we switched it up. The clones responsible for water bending began applying earth bending principles to water bending.

The out come of this was a difrent form of ice bending, were one would bend the ice simular to earth bending, the ice itself became exponentially harder. We tested this ice against firebending the result was, normal fire couldn't even affect this ice.

The Earth benders applied water bending to their art as well, the result was getting better at sand bending, allowing for finer control. This inspired trying to bend the individual minerals within the earth.

With fire bending I was pushing my intent to the limit and becoming better at using intent as the fuel. The flames became hotter and hotter over time. They went from orange to yellow-orange, then to pure yellow and finally blue. The blue flame was busy starting to turn white. The heat of the flames was emmence. Seeing the Aftermath of these white flames I was greatly shocked. I thought back to the fact that Zuko's sister's flames were also blue, however, I refused to believe her flames heat was above my own, cause as it stands now, these flames could melt everything. The flames would cause a drastic change to temperature.

We also thought of lowering the temperature of the fire this was a bit more difficult but there was still progress, the fire had turned red and was beginning to slowly turn purple. Few fire benders were off to the side trying to get lightning bending.

The Air benders were focusing on a sensory skill, they were all blind folded, a few clones were hurling stones at them at incredible speeds. The blind folded clones had very light winds swirling around them in a large radius, normal people wouldn't see or even feel this wind sphere, using this sphere to sense all things that entered, by feeling the disturbance in the wind. They would then attempt to dodge. This was also used as training to bend using only a thought.

The owl and myself rarely met, I heard a few gunshots in the past days, seems he's exploring the sniper rifle. Like that my bending lessons continued.

(MC POV)

My body was extremely relaxed simulating one who is unconscious. Men came and picked me up from the ground, clearly they didn't give a damn about me. This can be seen by the way they did not care what happened to my body. I then recalled as an elf, I have no rights. Overall, the elves are now a people associated with poverty, crime and barbarism, and are often used as scapegoats for humanity's difficulties. In Ancient Tevinter elves were called "rattus". Modern humans use the racial slurs "knife ears," "slant-eared" or, less cruelly, "rabbit".

My hands were bound, and I was forced to kneel. I finally opened my eyes. Looking around I was surrounded by guards, each pointing Swords at me. Seeing this I tried getting up, however seeing the guards preparing to attack me I abandoned the idea. One of the guards rushed out probably to notify and call their superiors.

After some time the door was pushed open with a lot of force. Walking in was two woman one I recognized as Leliana, the other was the seeker Cassandra. Both looked intimidating. Cassandra just looked like she wanted to shove her sword right down my throat. Leliana simply stood there, looking intimidating.

The moment Cassandra came close the guards all sheathed their swords. She slowly walked around me. Leliana stepped closer to me at the same time. When Cassandra was behind me she leaned closer to my ear before speaking.

"Tell me why we shouldn't kill you now. The Conclave is destroyed, everyone who attended is dead, except for you."

"..." I responded, with golden silence.

Both circled around me once, Cassandra grabbed my left arm.

"Explain this!!" she said referring to my now glowing palm.

"I can't." I said, slightly shrugging my shoulders.

This angered her as she grabbed me by the collar.

"What do you mean you can't?!" she shouted at my face.

However she was pushed back by Leliana.

"We need him Cassandra." Said Leliana.

'I actually almost believed she cared, this good cop, bad cop their doing would be quite effective under normal circumstances.'

"Whatever you think I did, I'm innocent. Let me go!" I said to the two.

"Do you remember what happened, how this all began?" Leliana asked.

"I remember running, things chasing me..."

'made a snack of me.' I thought.

"... There was a woman..."

"A woman?" Leliana cut me of seemingly supprised.

"... She called out to me." I said, ending my words there.

After some time Cassandra spoke, "Go to the forward camp Leliana, I will take him to the rift."

After Leliana left Cassandra walked closer. She grabbed me and lifted me up.

"It will be easier to show you." she said, before she removed the metal cuffs, and tied my hands together using a rope.

I followed Cassandra out of the dungeon, guards on each of my sides of course. My movements were quite strange, to be expected when one takes into account that I've been sleeping on the bloody hard floor for over a week with minimal movement. These people didn't even have the common decency to give man something to lay down on.

Exiting the building I was forced to shut my eyes, although it wasn't that bright out, elves have natural night vision and the sudden change from darkness to the light isn't quite easy on the eyes. With my vision accustomed to the light, I looked I lifted my head.

There it was the hole in the sky that's wants to swallow the world. The game really doesn't do it enough justice. The sight was breathtaking.

"They call it the breech, it's a massive rift into the world of demons that grows larger with each passing hour.

It's not the only such rift, just the largest.

All were caused by the explosion at the Conclave."

"Can an explosion do that?!" I exclaimed.

"This one did, unless we act, the breach may grow until it swallows the world."

Right as her words ended, a pulse shot out from the 'breach', pain shot up my arm as the anchor gave of its resplendent green glo.

Gritting my teeth I tried feeling what it was doing. To my surprise it was absorbing magic from the massive rift, and if it overcharges I'm dead, again. Consentrating I tried controlling it, to no avail, however, even though I wasn't able to control it, I did manage to guide where the energy goes, I guided the pure massive amounts of energy throughout my body. To my surprise, it actually started merging into every corner of my body. I was confused till I remembered that elves have a natural connection to the fade.

In ancient times when the vale didn't exist, elves would naturally absorb the magic in the air into their bodies, making them immortal.

To Cassandra it must have looked like I was just trying to endure.

"Each time the breach expands, your mark spreads, and it is killing you.

It may be the key, but we don't have much time." she said.

"Key to what?!" I exclaimed.

"Closing the breach, whether that's possible we shall discover shortly.

It is our only chance however, and yours." she said.

"Ah, so you think I still did this to myself." I responded.

"Not intentionally, something clearly went wrong." she said.

"And if I'm innocent?" I asked.

"Someone is responsible and you are our only suspect.

You wish to prove your innocence, this the only way." she said.

"Then I don't really have a choice here?" I asked.

"None of us have a choice." she said fiercely.

'Bullshit!!' I thought.

Grabbing my collar she began pushing me forward.
