The hunt

Since morning Hridhaan has been in back-to-back meetings regarding the new hotel launch that is going to take place in three weeks. He even couldn't do his work due to this busy morning. His secretary had to do it on his behalf.

Hridhaan settled in his chair at his office. He escaped to the tranquility of his office, to gather his scattered thoughts. He took a deep breath as he leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes and the weight of the events of today that happened until now came crashing upon him.

Paul saw his boss going into his office but didn't go directly as he saw how irritated and tired Hridhaan looked from these meetings. He didn't want to face his boss's wrath and stayed back so that Hridhaan could have some time for himself after all this chaos. He had to give some bad news about the task he was given but he had already a solution to turn it into good news. Paul started to do some other stuff, he decided he would go after 15 minutes to his boss's office. The fifteen minutes came but Paul never went to his boss.

---

There was a knock on the door but Hridhaan didn't hear it. After a couple of knocks, Hridhaan came back from his thoughts. At first, he was a bit disoriented but quickly got back from his disoriented state. It took him a minute before he replied to the person on the other side to come in.

Paul came in with a tray that had food and beverage and greeted his boss, "Good afternoon, Sir." He placed the tray on the table.

Hridhaan greeted him back and was closely observing Paul.

Hridhaan thanked Paul and then went to the washroom that is adjoined to his office.

Hridhaan came back from the washroom but Paul was still there he hadn't moved an inch from his place. Hridhaan knew Paul very well and right now the way Paul was behaving and his expression, he knew something was not good. Hridhaan didn't waste any time and asked, "What's the matter, Paul?"

Paul didn't reply to him, Hridhaan went to his table where the tray was, took the spoon, and clinked it against the glass that was in the tray.

Paul who was lost in his thoughts came back and looked startled at his boss. His boss was looking at him with an eyebrow raised and he was looking back at his boss puzzled.

Hridhaan was concerned and said, "Paul take a seat."

When Paul settled comfortably, Hridhaan offered him a glass of water. After confirming that Paul was okay. Hridhaan asked, "Paul what's the matter?"

"Actually, umm..." Paul could not find the right words to talk. He knew he was given a task he did it. But he also knows that it is something important for Hridhaan.

"The task that you had given me in the morning." Paul talked but his voice was wobbly, Hridhaan encouraged him to continue.

"I called but those people have a very busy schedule so they can't help you at this moment. They will take on new projects after two months."

Hridhaan clenched his jaw and Paul saw it. Hridhaan was looking calm but he was not.

Paul wanted to say the solution but he was scared of his boss's reaction. His heart was thudding very fast against his ribcage that he could hear it. But putting his fear aside he decided to tell, whatever outcome there will be he knows that tried at least. Paul said, "But I know someone who can help you with this. That person is not well known but he knows his job."

Hridhaan looked at Paul with silence and Paul continued to talk, "I did my research about him and his job. I have everything if you want I can bring the information."

"Paul, have you eaten?"

Paul was puzzled at his boss's question but still answered, "No, sir."

"Bring your lunch here and we will discuss this." Paul nodded and went to buy his lunch in the canteen.

Hridhaan saw him leaving and understood now why Paul was behaving like this. He was angry that the architect couldn't help him. He didn't want stagnation but when Paul said about another architect he somewhere found hope, not everything was finished. He had a plan and wanted to stick to it. However, he didn't want to keep his hopes high up.

What if the person can't design the things that he wants or if he is some kind of fraud.

Not long after Paul came with his lunch and he brought the file that has all the information about the Architect with him.

"Let's eat first after that we will discuss."

---

They were done eating and Hridhaan was now looking into the file that Paul brought. Paul was looking at Hridhaan with anticipation the food that he had not so long ago was churning in his stomach.

"How did you come on this idea to bring this guy into the picture?"

"The result was negative and I couldn't just sit there and wait for you to hear it. I remember in the morning, you were saying you want an appointment with this architect so that you could discuss with him so that he could start asap, you were so serious about it. I knew that this was something very important to you. I thought why not search for someone who can do the job. I asked a friend of mine who knows about architects and he recommended me this person. I did not waste any time and started my research about him before presenting it to you."

"Impressive," Hridhaan said.

"I have seen the information it is good but I want to meet this guy personally."

"Can you make an appointment for me?"

"I have already made an appointment," Paul said

Hridhaan raised his eyebrow at Paul and looked at him and said, "you were quite sure I was going to meet him I must say."

Paul just smiled at him and said, "He can meet you today at 4 pm at his office.

" Thank you, Paul."

"You're welcome, Sir."
