The Duke's New Jewels

Duke Nicholas Stoneborne is a cold man whose glare can paralyze even the king himself. The thing he dislikes more than unnecessary disturbances is children, especially the loud and nosy kind. One evening after receiving the reports from his ruby mines, he is annoyed to find that a child was found in the mines. Irritated, he goes to check out the child that was discovered only to see a girl with hair as red as fire and eyes that shine like rubies. However, she won't be the only child he finds.
