Alec's commanding voice cut through the chaos, urging me to follow him to safety. As we rushed towards a waiting black car, I couldn't help but wonder at the strange turn of events. Lucas had been the one to invite me to this place, yet no explanation had been forthcoming. The whole situation felt surreal, and I couldn't help but question the sanity of those involved. Nonetheless, for now, I could only cling to my confusion and wait for answers. I saw Lou already departed with Lucas in another SUV; I literally wanted some girl time alone with her as soon as possible.
As I gazed towards Alec, my curiosity piqued by his ownership of the haunting Quinsley castle, I couldn't help but notice his youthful appearance. With a gasp, I blurted out my question, "What are you? I meant. who are you? You owned that? And who did they shoot?" I paused but he didn't reply a word.
I was running out of patience "What was inside that huge haunting Quinsley castle...who was in there tried to hunt me down? Do you know anything about that? Are you related to a king or prince? what if he haunts me and hunts me down again?" I paused.
"If someone in there wanted to hurt you Oxyvi It would have the moment you placed the foot in there" causing Alec to answer nonchalantly, his demeanor unchanged by my inquiry. But my interest was not quenched, and I probed further, eager to learn of the secrets lurking within his property.
"Why I saw those illusions, why I compelled by those shadows to enter inside the castle in the first place? Why me and Lou and God I'm thankful that Lou wasn't the one who compelled into but…"
However, Alec's response was curt, "Don't feel yourself special, be thankful that you are safe and not broadcasted on tomorrow news headline, as another victim" leaving me feeling frustrated and impatient. I longed for answers, desperate to know who or what resided within the castle's walls, and what malevolent force had sought to harm me.
"I sensed a… I don't know but it felt masculine force...he touched my shoulder I am so sure that unknown was a man or spirit of a man"
My words tumbled out, my impatience growing with each passing moment. Alec's piercing gaze bore down upon me, and I found myself shrinking under his scrutiny. And yet, despite his fierce demeanor, I couldn't help but sense a glimmer of concern in his eyes.
As I recounted my encounter with an unknown male force, Alec's expression shifted, his anger giving way to confusion. But my words had stirred something within him, and he demanded to know more about who I had seen within the castle's walls.
"I'm not sure the figure appeared to be the dark but that figure was ought to be the male and else was an illusion beside that particular figure, that shadow distracting me with illusions so that I don't see it. That shadow pulling me towards it and then suddenly I heard creepy giggles of a child that might be a trick to haunt me and then suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and it was nerve wrecking" Tears streaming down my face, I struggled to explain the inexplicable, describing a masculine force that had touched my shoulder.
Though my words seemed to fall on deaf ears, I could sense that Alec was grappling with his own thoughts, his forehead furrowed in concentration.
"You didn't touch anything in there?"
"Not anything of that I remembered"
But just as suddenly as the conversation had begun, it was over, Alec dismissing my fears with a wave of his hand. And yet, as I gazed out of the car window, the haunting presence inside of Quinsley's castle still clinging to my thoughts, I couldn't help but wonder what secrets lay hidden within its walls.
He must be thinking of me mentally retarded. He did not believe a word I said. But the side glance at Alec tells the different story like he knows that there is more to the story.
