The moment his eyes settled on mine, I froze. His dark lashes were very lightly obscuring the full array of colors of his iris and I nearly started shaking from the nerves. I knew he could tell something was wrong, and every second that went by made it only more suspicious.
"Earlier—when you said I looked pale—were you serious?" The words nearly stumbled on themselves as they left my lips.
He blinked and cocked his head to the side just slightly. "I was, but I hope you didn't take that as offensive. That was certainly not what I was trying to do."
I shook my head. "No, I didn't. You were actually right. I didn't feel very well but I didn't want to say anything during the lecture and interrupt it."
Wyatt stood up and looked me up and down. "What's wrong?"
