'One' was taken in as an orphan by the Master of the House of a Thousand Leaves, and ruthlessly trained. However, the House of a Thousand Leaves is raided and burned to ashes. Among the injustice of him, and his four fellow disciples getting murdered by righteous hypocrites without being able to fight back, his dying prayers are answered.
Being reborn in a modern world, he awakens in the body of a dying 16 year old boy. Much to his surprise, his fellow disciples are reborn along with him. Having been reborn together, the fate binding them is the strongest of beliefs. With the help of the Syndicate System, a parting gift from the Goddess, the rise of the Styx Syndicate begins.

Shameless self-review here to get me on the rankings, but while I'm here I might as well share some of my thoughts. I have been wanting to write this story for a while, so the character and story ideas are abundant, however, I realise that I am new to this and am therefore looking to improve for both mine and your sake. I am looking for criticisms and ideas. The story follows our MC in his ever bigger descent into the underworld - the birth of a true crime syndicate. Since he views the system, and by extension his quest to build a syndicate as a god given divine mission, he becomes quite fanatical towards the system as the plot develops. This is not a get strong quick OP MC kinda story. Expect slow but solid growth along with the growth of the system until he reaches the pinnacle and who knows when he gets to the pinnacle he might find out that he is just a little frog at the bottom of a very, very steep well. I look forward to interacting with you all, and building a nice community so that this novel can be better both for me and you all.
