Chapter 26 — Wyndell desperate plea

He obstructed the closing elevator using his hand. He pulled Wyndell to get inside the elevator.

They were quiet inside while accompanied by other folks. When the elevator opened, Lilian immediately strides away. William supports Wyndell to follow Lilian.

" Lilian, I am sorry. I-I didn't mean what I did last night," Wyndell apologized. William glimpse of his cautious reaction.

What happened last night?

Lilian just ignoring his apology.

" Lilian, believe me. I didn't mean what I did last night. I was out of my control, " he pleaded. Lilian stopped and faced the two of them.

" You almost raped me, Wyndell. If that happened again, is it enough just to apologize?" Lilian asked right in front of William.

William turned his blazing gaze at Wyndell.

How could he dare to rape Lilian?!

Annoyed William pushed him away out of repulsion.

" You want to take advantage of her?" William asked him in enmity.

" I was out of my control, William. I was jealous that night," Wyndell explained.

He didn't let him finish explaining for he gave him a strong raging blow. Lilian covered her mouth in shock when Wyndell fell on the floor.

William was about to rush him and treat him indignation but Lilian came over to stop him.

" William, enough! " she ordered him to calm down.

" How could he dare to do that against you? He has no right to touch you," he said while outrage burned through him.

" It almost happen, but Demetri saved me," she replied. Gradually he got calmed down.

" You said that, it was h-happened before?" William asked her nervously.

Lilian looked at Wyndell. His lips were already bleeding. She felt pity towards him. You can see scratches and bruises on his face due to the fight between him and Demetri.

" Demetri wasn't the man who slept with Lilian 3 years ago. It w-was me," Wyndell confessed to William.

Lilian gawked in surprise.

Is he out of his mind? Why he confessed it in front of his ex-husband!

" F*CK! How could you—" William didn't finish his raging anger after she get on between just to stop him.

" That's enough! It was a past," she intervened.

" I completely accepted that incident. We can't change that anymore," she answered in a soft voice and turned her side to Wyndell.

" You're forgiven, Wyndell but I can't forget what you did. But promise me, you won't ever do that again if you don't...I am the one who will kill you," she strictly concluded. She stares at William burning eyes.

" You...I will get back my children from you, and we will go away to forget you," she said to her ex-husband.

William looked at her in sorrow.

She continued walking. William wanted to follow Lilian but he just stayed to hear a better explanation from Wyndell.

How did he get into our room? And why did Demetri allege Wyndell's crime?

William grabbed his collar, looking at his eyes full of fury.

" I need an explanation, Wyndell?"

Wyndell gulped in terror.

He's an honest person, so he explained everything about what had happened that night.

The day he woke up in the hospital, surprisingly his parent overjoyed to have him alive. He was comatose for over a decade, and his long dream was about his childhood sweetheart, Lilian. She's the reason why he went back to survive.

He promised in his beautiful nightmare, he would marry Lilian. But, sad to know about...William married her for his lame reason.

His stepbrother marries her to get the position and legacy from his true family. In great frustration and anger at William, he made up a way to ruin the marriage.

She raped Lilian that night. He secretly sneaked with the help of William's antagonistic mother.

He forged his plan but Demetri found out. So the next morning, Demetri confided to the crime he had made for the reason he was angry with William for Yvette's infidelity.

He agreed because of his guilt. He should have just explained to Lilian that he was the child who promised that they would get married when they were at the right age.

It was his biggest mistake that he used William's persona just to make Lilian happy.

He promised but Lilian married the wrong guy. If only he hadn't had an accident, he and Lilian would have gotten married and had a family.

William stared blankly at Wyndell. That's the real story. That's why he can't remember that he promised to get married because it was Wyndell, not he.

Wyndell used his name and Lilian thought that he was the boy who promised to marry her, so Lilian hoped that he was the one.

He was just accusing Lilian of her infidelity which is not a true story. He also couldn't believe what his mother had done.

How she was able to connivance Wyndell’s evil plan of destroying their union?

" Why didn't you show up to me right away?" He coldly questioned his stepbrother.

" I was sick. The day Demetri came to own up the crime, I was attacked by muscle injury, so I was immediately sent to the hospital. I forced my body too much after I took advantage of Lilian, it cause me muscle spasms. It was a long day before the doctor discharge me, " he further added.

William covered his face in desperation. He pushed Lilian away without even listening to her side.

What kind of spouse is he? He's so insensitive and stupid.

" William, I love Lilian. If she didn't forgive me, I'd rather die than she will hate me forever," he said in a crack voice.

He loves Lilian too. And he had a big misstep with his ex-wife. He deprived her right to be with her children without consideration. He wants to remake everything. He wanted to amends and ask forgiveness for the cowardice he had committed.

" William, just give me chance to be happy. I've been waiting for almost 2 decades just to be with Lilian," Wyndell begged and pleaded.

" I want to be happy with her. That's what I've been praying for over the years I have spent just to be healed. I want to be with her," he continued.

He understands his situation. It was his fault, he used his idiocy to follow everything that his mother wanted. Now, it is very difficult for him to decide who he will pursue.

His brother begging to be with his love, Lilian, while his heart also yearning for Lilian’s love.

William wants to feel Lilian loves again, but their situation is now complicated. He wasn't the only man who tails Lilian, but there were three of them.

Even against his will. He would insist on helping Wyndell against Demetri and over his yearning heart.
