Heusa's (part 1)

Heusa Family, they were known to be geniuses by the whole world. Sure there are laboratories like Altair that is bigger than them but in the public's eyes, they are still the best in terms of intelligence.

They have invented the world's first teleporter which makes used to the melon man's brain due to decaying quickly that is why only a few countries have access to teleporters. Even a the oldest member of the Heusa family even managed to create a rain efficient railgun, it paralyzes everyone on a 500 meter radius which is banned on huge cities.

Aside from their known inventions due to their intelligence, they are also known to be quite the troublemakers but despite that they still have the respect of their people. Yes, They have their own people because the last head of the Heusa family was the president of Timur.

Douglas Huesa, The father of Quinn, Shantel and Cesar Heusa. He is a great father and example to his kids and also a great leader to his country. He created the first space shelter all by using his mathematical knowledge and his creation type ability. The shelter could house about 1 billion people and it has multiple teleporter access making it easier to travel. The rich ones went to that shelter and eventually the poor ones get access to as much resources as they want and even made Timur one of the best countries.

"Quinn! Shantel! Breakfast is ready!" Their mother Aliciera said

Sitting in front of her was the oldest of the siblings Cesar, he has no abilities and doesn't want one but he has this thing that he invented where he can summon tools by his command.

He is sipping on his coffee while typing some JavaScript code to his device.

"Cesar, We are on the table stop doing that." Douglas said

"Sorry father but I seriously have to finish this." Cesar replied

"Still, you should respect the food in front of you." Aliciera said as she grabbed Cesar's device

Cesar felt that he wont win the argument so he just let his device go. The young Quinn and his sister Shantel had arrived at the dining area with dirt on their hands. Their parents just smiled at the two and asked them to wash their hands before eating.

"Mother! Look what we found!" Shantel raised her hand that is holding a cylindrical shaped white object

"Oh, what is that?"

"I think its a what history books call time capsules, If we spin the very edge it'll open and reveal a few objects that were kept by the ones who put it under the ground." Quinn said

"Good thinking but it isn't really a time capsule." Douglas then used his ability to reshape the object into a silver shotgun

"It is actually a gun your grandpa and I built a few weeks ago, it didn't reach his expectations so he just buried it underground." Douglas said

"How good is this g-gun then?" Quinn asked

"Well it can get pass through a 5 inch thick iron door and aside from that it is also capable of doing something better than a ghost reload, although you might need to learn to control your aim." Douglas explained

"Can I keep it?"

This words of Quinn made everyone speechless as they don't know how the weakest one of their family could handle something like that. Douglas thinks differently, instead of thinking small of his youngest child, he started thinking the opposite way, he started thinking what the possibilities that Quinn would end up in upon keeping that shotgun.

"No you c-" Aliciera's words were cut short because of Douglas interrupting

"You should but in one condition." Douglas took a deep sigh "You must manage to hit a target that is 100 meters away without scope by next week."

This took as a surprise to Quinn's siblings and their mother. Aliciera seems to be against this idea but if it could make their child stronger then she would just answered yes but she isn't a Heusa by blood so she couldn't really comprehend what Douglas might be thinking.

"I'll support you with that bro!" Cesar said

"Show us what you can do!" Shantel said

This made Quinn cause finally, he found something that would make him less insecure about his flaw, Not an average flaw but the flaw of not being smart or strong enough.

By the night, Quinn had sneaked out the house to head to the forest. The forest isn't that far but due to Quinn having a frail body, he took about an hour to reach it.

Quinn sat on the ground as he felt tired due to all that walking afterall he's just 9 years old. He huffs for a couple of seconds and proceeded to stand up.

He no longer wants to procrastinate he even brought 50 shotgun shells with him. He knows the basics of a shotgun he hasn't used one before so he prepared a knife with him just in case.

Before he even started to walk a mutated black bear with long fangs had decided to charge towards him. Quinn isn't prepared to move but the gun is, he aim the gun as hard as he can but his arms wont stop shaking so he just decided to fire it when he thinks it'll hit.

The bullet had scraped it shoulder but instead of slowing down, the bear went sideways and started circling around Quinn.

Quinn's heart started pumping rapidly but it is not because of fear, it is because of excitement. He is just standing beside a tree with a smile on his face. The wind is blowing off his hair showing his red eyes.

'I wonder what will happen if I do this.'

Quinn fired the shotgun to a direction the bear is about to run into but it is evaded by the bear.

Quinn loaded the shotgun and put another bullet slightly slanted on the end of the barrel. He thinks that what he's doing will probably reduce his survival rate but he thinks that it is better than nothing.

He pulled the trigger and suddenly a loud bang was heard, a spinning projectile got close to the bear's right eye and it created a small explosion enough to blew its brains off.
