He loves her relentlessly. To her, his love is suffocating. She lost everything because of him yet he claims he loves her. While Bryce is trying to own her, Valerie is trying to end this game once and for all. 
Someone is watching the whole game of hide and seek from afar and their actions hold the power to change the obvious outcome.
Who will be the winner when secrets start to unfold? 
Even the predictable ending seems unpredictable...

Where it all went wrong?

Here, I've tried to make character introductions for my main two characters. Hope this helps readers in the understanding of these crazy characters I've created a little bit better.


1. Valerie Hart: A blonde girl with emerald eyes. Gives up a damsel in distress vibe at first encounter but if you get to know her better you will understand that she is someone determined and courageous. Whenever she sticks her mind to something she does that no matter what. She fears that Bryce guy whom she used to be in love with all her heart because she believes he is the killer of her adoptive mother. She is open to facing challenges all the time for people she loves but she can be really clumsy sometimes. She was working as a web designer when Bryce found her after two years but her actual profession was something else. (Anything more than this about her can ruin the upcoming chapters.)


2. Bryce Carter: A guy in his early thirties, with deep dark eyes and dark hair, has a snake-like vibe. (I don't know how Valerie fell in love with him?!) He is the perfect example of a narcissistic sociopath. He is an heir to a medicine manufacturer group called 'Simpleton Crop.', but this is not a normal company, they have influence over quite a lot of things in society. Also, he loves to gaslight Valerie and watch her suffer and thinks that is love (How outrageous!). (He's like an onion you will get to know him better in upcoming chapters.)


Other than these two you might have come across:


Officer West (Valerie's adoptive mother),


Anthony (Valerie's angel-like co-worker),


Bree (Valerie's one-n-only friend who was missing from the first chapter),


and "That Mysterious Person" (soon their secrets will unfold so please don't forget to check that out).
