Next floor

"Hey! Tom! Wakey-wakey, what's gotten into you? You do this a lot." Percival complained as he waved his hands in my face. I couldn't help but smile awkwardly.

"I have a lot on my mind. what's wrong?" I asked.

"Wha-What's wrong? You are what's wrong! What the hell was that you just pulled?" he asked exasperatedly. I couldn't help but smile helplessly as I saw everyone leaning in to listen to my response.

"Two new spells I had created. Invisible sword and herculean strength. As the name suggests, the invisible sword is precisely that, a sword that is invisible and can cut through solid steel. Swift and weightless.

The second is Herculean strength. A unique spell that can only be fully unleashed by me. It is immensely taxing on a person's strength. Any more questions?" I asked casually. I didn't care if they knew, they couldn't do anything about it.

Percival's mouth turned into an 'O' shape along with others as well. Abby squinted as a glint flashed through her eyes. Fred also had a glint in his eyes that interested me immensely. But it was not worth prying into for now.

"Was that the maximum strength you can unleash?" Walter asked as he came forward.

"Nah mate, that was 5% at best. if I wasn't scared of killing everyone here and destroying the arena, I would have gone for full power. Even I don't know how strong it is. Better not to find out." I said truthfully while shaking my head.

Walter almost tripped over his own foot at my answer.

"Monster" he mumbled. Everyone nodded at his words. I couldn't really argue, this was something that had never been seen before.

"Anyway I'm done with my three," I said and walked past them and towards my seat. I didn't have anything else to say. Even if others wanted to know more, they were at my mercy. So they could all fuck off.

They also knew that and seeing me not wanting to talk, they understood that questioning time was over. They all begrudgingly sat back down at their seats and continued to talk in their small groups. But this time, it wasn't about trivial stuff but about me. It was only natural, so I didn't pay it any mind.

I sat down with Jenna, Robert, Fred, Abby and John as we watched Percival do his thing.

About 20 minutes went by before everyone in our group had finished.

"Great, now that we are all done with this floor, let's head up to the next one shall we," Abby asked quickly. Everyone simply smiled and nodded before ascending the steps to the second floor. An identical stadium to the one we were on before came into view.

Abby went up first again. Since the teacher wasn't here due to having to manage the barrier on the first floor, a house-elf took his place and managed the apparatus.

The first beast to appear was a Kappa. A Japanese water demon according to Jenna. They were quick, smart and had some basic water magic. Although basic, they could shoot water bullets that could kill if not careful. But they were neither fast nor tricky to predict. So although they were deadly, they were still very manageable by students.

Due to being water creatures, dehydration was a major issue for them. So fire was naturally a weakness for them. They could usually circumvent this problem since they live in water areas with large bodies of water around allowing them to submerge themselves to avoid it. but since this was a grass plain, they not only had nowhere to hide, but they couldn't avoid the fire.

Abby used the same fire tornado to whittle down the opponent. Nothing crazy, no tactics needed.

The second beast was a steel-tipped rattlesnake. Fast, venomous with a steel tail that could pierce through 10-inch steel. Their weakness however was sound. They couldn't deal with sound at all. High-frequency sound was incredibly piercing to them. They usually made up for this by sneak attacking their opponents. They wouldn't have time to react before death devoured them.

It really was a case of these animals losing most of their lethality due to the change in the environment.

Abby easily created a speaker and sent out high-frequency sound waves that destroyed the snake instantly.

The last was a cider eagle. Small eagles that burned with fire. They left a trail of fire as they flew in the sky. Know to reach speeds of 290 kilometres when diving. They're deadly due to the high temperature. But ice stops them in their tracks. Abby had difficulty this time and almost lost due to being caught off guard by the sheer speed of the animal. She even suffered some burns before she was finally able to take it down.

Once she was done, she exited the stage, and I was up next. When I passed her I used my healing magic to recover her injuries before entering the arena.

I was wondering if it was worth trying out some of my other moves I had created. Well… more like transferred from other works based on manga and anime in my past life. What can I say, I was a sucker for those visually impactful moves.

As the first monster appeared, it was a turtle. Again, due to my ignorance, I had no idea what the weaknesses were. It shouldn't be too hard to figure it out, but why bother when strength rules all.

I punched my fists together and sent them barrelling into the ground.

"BLACK FOREST EMERGENCE!"
