Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 2-Alessia

What the boy had just done and said astounded us all. Everyone just remained there for a few minutes, attempting to piece together what had occurred, until the leaders yelled at us to return to our homes. Everyone was stumbling around attempting to go back to their homes, but I merely stayed there, aware that my power had just been discovered by an immortal being. Lost in my thoughts I was just about to miss what someone was trying to say to me. I swiftly turned around to see my father's harsh grey eyes looking right at me.

"What are you doing so early?" He inquired. I was trying to come up with a response for him, but all I could do was stand there stunned.

He questioned again, "I asked you a question, Alessia."

"I… I was sleeping but was startled awake when I heard a commotion outside. When I realised what was going on, I wanted to return but it was too crowded to move," I exclaimed. I crossed my fingers, hoping that, although a Vampire had just infiltrated the neighbourhood, Dad would be unconcerned. I'd always avoided talking to him since he mistreated me anytime I tried. Fortunately, Dad simply told me to return to the house. Nobody tried to talk to me as I walked there, which I appreciated. One of the benefits of being the leader's daughter was that everyone was intimidated by me. I stepped into the vast marble kitchen and picked a glass from the shelf and poured myself a glass of grape juice as soon as I entered. Then, while waiting for Dad to return, I hastily checked the granite polished cupboards for a snack. After a few minutes of looking, I settled on some glazed doughnuts that smelled heavenly and carried them and the juice up the stairs, which was difficult given the size of the stairwell and the fact that there were two polished railings on each side. Fortunately, I made it to my room without incident and placed them both on my desk. As I waited for my father, I began cleaning up my room, as I had destroyed it the day before when learning about the academy. I cleaned up my bed and vacuumed the tile floor since I was weary and put all of my things in my wardrobe with each one in its proper spot.

Then I sat on my bed and watched my favourite show while eating my snacks. After a few hours passed dad had still not returned. Tears streamed down my face as my thoughts continued telling me the reality that was right in front of me, but I refused to believe it. Dad was never going to come home late at night since he was probably avoiding me in order to prevent me from asking him the question I wanted to ask. Dad had always wanted me to attend Hunters Academy for High Achievers, but I had no desire to do so. When I initially approached him about attending a regular school, he physically abused me to the point that I was continuously bleeding. He began to avoid coming home after that day if he knew I was going to ask him the subject again. Dad always made sure that it was either his way or nobody. I went back to bed, but just as I was ready to take a short nap, my alarm went off, notifying me that today was the day.

Yay.

I quickly got up and searched for the clothes I had laid out for the academy the day before, as well as getting ready for a quick shower. I lugged my belongings into the bathroom and cleaned my teeth while thinking about today and how everyone was counting on me to carry on a legacy I didn't desire.

I put on my wide denim jeans and my plaid button-through jacket, which were very comfortable. As soon as I came out, I threw my hair into a hasty bun and applied some cream on my face. Then I hurriedly packed my belongings into my backpack and headed down for breakfast, dreading the fact that my father would be waiting for me. As I moved closer to the kitchen, I feared each step. When I arrived, I immediately noticed Dad seated at the porcelain table, food was strewn about.

"Hey, Dad, what's the big deal?" I inquired.

"Today is your first day at the academy, so I wanted to make sure you got off to a good start!" He explained, "I know you're going to make me very proud." Why was it necessary for me to be in this situation?

"Thank you, Dad," I murmured, a forced smile on my face. I sat calmly in one of the chairs and took a bite of food. I went with some fruit oatmeal, pancakes, and a glass of berry juice. I ate my breakfast as swiftly and silently as I could to avoid having to answer any questions from my father. After finishing, I quickly cleaned my dishes and put on my coat in preparation for the long drive ahead. Then I dashed back to the kitchen for a Pain Au Chocolat to take with me on the trip (Chocolate sometimes helps with the anxiety)

Then, just as I was about to leave, Dad spoke up.

"Are you certain you want to go alone?" Is it possible for me to arrange for someone to pick you up? "Perhaps Michael?" He inquired. I felt sick to my stomach just hearing that name. Micheal was the boy my father wanted me to marry, even though I was only 18 years old! Seriously, I have a hard time understanding parents at times.

"NO! I said, "No, dad, I'll be fine, thank you." With a final goodbye, I walked out the door and prepared for the day that would forever change my life. I waited for my car to arrive and drive me to the Academy as I walked out the door. I'd always tried to walk, but my father thought it was too dangerous, and that as a hunter, humans may be suspicious of me.

My car came to my front porch after only a minute of waiting. Of course, it had to be a Rolls-Royce Phantom in black. Dad made it a point to make sure I was seen. I got in and told the driver where I wanted to go. The journey was uneventful. All I did was search around the rear of the car or sketch in my notebook, which was difficult given that now and then we hit a bump that nearly gave me a heart attack. I drew a person sitting by a lakeside, staring at a full moon, while listening to music. The final product looked fantastic, but if my father saw it, he'd kill me.

The driver informed me, "Ma'am, we will arrive at Hunters Academy in exactly 5 minutes."

When I peered out the window, I noticed an incredible view in front of me. A shadow of optimism and excitement was cast across my face by the proud entrancing golden sun. I looked up to notice that there were no clouds in the sky. My smile continued to grow, but it quickly faded when the car came to a halt and I saw we had arrived via the other window. With my backpack clutched in my hand, I cautiously opened the car door. When I stepped out of the vehicle, I noticed that everyone was looking at me with shocked expressions on their faces.

Oh, my God...
