Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 12-Alessia

As soon as I stepped out of the neighbourhood, adrenaline began to rush through my veins as I was introduced to a world I'd never seen before. In the night sky, lights and explosions obscured my eyes. I've always enjoyed watching them burst into the sky and illuminate everything. I then wandered away from the neighbourhood, without looking back. As I continued walking, I felt a massive pulse, similar to a strong electromagnetic wave, pass through my body. I realised immediately that I had passed through the curtain of the supernatural and had entered the realm of humanity. Fortunately, since it was late at night, no one was around except for a few couples strolling around. It sparked my curiosity as I moved closer to them. I hadn't truly known what it was like to be in the human world, so this was a unique adventure for me. It was an emotion I'd never had before, and an idea sprang into my head to help me articulate all of my emotions. I walked as far as I could to a forest near the park from which I had arrived. Within the forest, I came across a beautiful creek lined with thick evergreen trees that blocked the moonlight and a variety of wildflowers. Clearwater sprayed inside the creek, which was covered with little boulders. I sat on a nearby wooden bench for a rebreather. I couldn't believe what I'd just done, but I knew it was the correct decision. Dad must have noticed that I'd left the house by now, but I'm well aware that if I return, I'll be banished. For the next ten minutes, I just sat there, thinking about what I had just done. Birds started tweeting all about me, giving me the impression that I was in a peaceful environment. As I understood what was going to happen to me, tears flowed from my eyes and splashed on the soft ground. With a combination of emotions inside my stomach, I stood up and walked towards the side of the creek. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, allowing myself to embrace all of my emotions. As soon as I felt them all hit me, I let them all out in a single tremendous scream. The entire creek split in half in an instant, and trees all around me snapped on the ground in a circular pattern. As all of my emotions escaped me, I fell to my knees and sobbed. All of the water remained divided in half, but it was slowly returning to its usual flow. An explosion blazed in the sky as I cried. I lifted my head in astonishment at what I saw in front of me. The atmosphere was filled with vibrant red sparks that shone throughout the woodland. Abruptly, the sparks grew larger and larger until they suddenly controlled the entire sky. It astounded me because the entire sky had become vivid crimson. Fortunately, only those within the curtain were able to see it, but what did this mean? A tremendous flash blasted in the night sky, causing a massive earthquake to erupt beneath me as I was immersed in my thoughts. I was knocked out and dropped to the ground. I awoke stuck on a small island in the middle of nowhere while unconscious. Emerald green waves were constantly crashing against a crumbling bedrock. The intense rays of the sun reflected off my face, making it difficult to see. Small, burned-out hunts could be seen all across the island, and they appeared to have been built a long time ago. Broken branches and remains of corpses appeared to fill the ground, which horrified me tremendously. The only thing I could see was a wilderness with towering evergreen trees that appeared to linger in the clear sky.

I kept strolling about, hoping to figure out where I was, when I came across a small cave that appeared to be in disarray. The cave walls were protected by massive columns. As I came closer, I noticed a massive black and gold gate guarding the gateway, adorned with a massive statue of a woman dressed in a magnificent tailored gown and wearing a tiara on her head. The closer I approached, the more I sensed a growing force in the environment. It was almost impossible to stand. As I approached the golden gate, I reached out to touch the shimmering entrance when an electric shock sent me tumbling into the water. I screamed in pain as I plunged underneath the waves. I closed my eyes and immersed myself in the darkness as ice-cold water poured through my body. However, just as my eyelids were closing, a voice burst from all directions.

"ALESSIA" The voice screeched, as I opened my eyes widely, a surge of energy coursing through my veins.

"WAKE UP!" It screamed once again. Which prompted me to scream in agony so loudly that the entire ocean emerged in slow motion into the sky. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, allowing myself to return to my reality. I was in excruciating pain when I awoke. I held my heart, hoping I wasn't going to drop dead. Then I took a look around and noticed that everything was back to normal. The sky was no longer shrouded in a thick red veil, and the water in the creek had returned to its previous state. I wiped the sweat from my forehead and stood up straight with a gulp. I marched down to the stream and crouched down, splashing water in my face. I stood up straight, my adrenaline still flowing through my veins, wiping the dirt from my clothes. Then, I began strolling back to the park, within the veil, hoping to come up with a strategy for what to do next before Dad does something that will horrify me to the core.
