Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 16-Alessia

As I stepped out of the bathroom and glanced in the mirror, I was taken aback. My body was undetectable. I was dressed in a long sleeveless golden mermaid dress with painful golden heels. I quickly curled my hair, braided a section of it, and sifted it to one side. Aiden, who was dressed in a tuxedo, approached me and looked at me with a shocked expression.

"You look..." He paused, still intrigued.

"I know it's ugly, but this will have to do," I said as I tried to fix my dress, but Aiden came up behind me.

"I got you something," he whispered as he wrapped a gorgeous small diamond necklace around my neck. We just stood there looking at each other in the mirror as my heart started racing again. Even though he was the one I was supposed to kill, it didn't feel that way to me. After a minute of staring at each other, I slowly turned around to face him.

"I have something for you that I want you to have," I said shyly.

"What exactly is it?" Aiden inquired, a smile on his face. I slowly turned around and walked over to my bag, which I placed on the bed. I took out a black bracelet that I had kept for years from the small compartment. I brought it out hesitantly and walked towards Aiden.

"This is for you," I said as I took his hand in mine and wrapped the bracelet around his wrist.

"Thank you," he said as he grinned and touched it. Then, after a quick double-check to ensure that everything was in order, we walked out the door and down the stairs together. The entire house had been decorated in such a short period that it appeared impossible. Decorations were hung from the ceilings, and candles were placed strategically throughout the space.

As many individuals chuckled and celebrated in elegant attire whilst sipping glasses of champagne, my mind began to imagine the worst-case scenarios. I came to a halt in the middle of the stairs, unsure of what I was about to do as my fingers began to twitch. This isn't what I was intended to be doing. I wasn't a werewolf, I was a Hunter.

"What's the matter?" Aiden queried, his voice curious.

"I'm a Hunter, not a Werewolf," I admitted as I began to make my way back up the stairs, but Aiden stopped me and took my hand in his.

"Let's go together," he said brightly, which I appreciated. With a smile, I agreed, and we began to slowly walk down the stairs, in front of a large crowd of people who began to greet us cheerfully.

I'd always been told that werewolves had no feelings or emotions, but how could that be when I was staring at the truth? Just then, a woman approached us and snapped me out of my dream state.

"I love the decorations Aiden, nicely done and I must admit, you're looking dashing this evening.," a woman in a black dress said, her brown eyes examining me from head to toe.

"Am I right?" With a hearty laugh, she inquired as she turned her gaze to me.

"Thank you Grecia" Aiden replied as I began nervously gazing around the room to avoid glancing at them. Aiden clutched my palm in his, sending thrills down my spine, as I blushed. Grecia became enraged very immediately.

"I see," she muttered as she began to walk away, and we exchanged embarrassed glances. We had a great time the rest of the night. We cut the cake for a beautiful young lady who had just turned 24, which seemed strange given that she was immortal as she had turned Beta.

Then everyone started talking to each other, and I decided to take a break at this point. I walked out to the front porch and down to the river, where there was a waterfall. I sat on a small rock, taking in the scenery. The sun had just set, casting a soft glow across the sky. The moon was visible in the distance, shining brightly in front of me. Beautiful splashes from the waterfall made me feel just as relaxed as I had before. Aiden appeared out of nowhere as I was looking at the sky.

"Is this seat taken?" He asked, pointing to a seat beside me.

"No," I said, returning my gaze to the sky. I broke the silence as we sat there admiring the breathtaking view.

"You have an incredible view in front of your house," I remarked.

"It's incredible, isn't it?" "Unfortunately, many people have never seen this view before because we keep the house hidden from the supernatural," Aiden explained.

"Thank you, Aiden," I said as I turned to face him.

"And for what?" As he faced me, he inquired.

"I needed something to calm me down before going back to my house, and this was the perfect distraction," I explained.

"You're welcome," Aiden said, winking.

"May I ask you a question?" Curiosity got the best of me, and I wondered.

"Sure," he said.

"Can you tell me your age?" I know you're an Alpha, so you're immortal, but how old were you when you realised you were turning?" I inquired.

"I was born as a Human, but in 1910, I became ill with a disease, and just as I was about to die, I was bitten by a werewolf." "I was 19 years old at the time," Aiden explained, his face disheartening.

Then, all of a sudden, slow music began to play, and everyone fell silent.

"Are they dancing?" With a curious smile, I questioned. Aiden stood up and smiled as he asked a question.

"Do you want to dance?" With a slight grin, he inquired.

"I'd love to," I said as I took his hand in mine and began to dance. As soon as I placed my hand on his shoulder, butterflies filled my stomach. I was aware of what was happening to me, but I was attempting to deny it.

We moved slowly in rhythm until Aiden twirled me and caught me just as I fell. Our gazes met at that precise moment, and the emotions were at an all-time high. At that moment we did something forbidden. We kissed beneath the moonlight, allowing every one of my feelings to escape. Suddenly, everyone began to gather outside, and we were forced to separate. As Aiden began to say goodbye to everyone, I went back into the house awkwardly to get a drink when a shriek filled the atmosphere.

I grabbed a knife from the kitchen and dashed outside to find everyone stunned as a girl lay on the floor, surrounded by puddles of blood.

"What happened?" I inquired as I dashed over to Aiden, who was stunned.

"Vampire attack! DEFENCE AND ATTACK EVERYONE!" Aiden roared as he abruptly began gathering weapons and disseminating them to everyone.
