Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 25-Alessia

I sat on Aiden's bed in his room as he began to call his werewolves, praying that this strategy would succeed. During the weeks that Noah wasn't here, I spent most of my time studying the book and learned a lot about the history of the Supernatural. I was so immersed in my thoughts and almost forgot Aiden's question as I waited there.

"Are you all right?" He inquired as he sat down next to me, a comfortable grin on his face.

With a pained smile on my face, I answered, "Yeah, I just really hope this works." Aiden suddenly put his hand on my shoulder, giving me chills all over. I felt terrible about not informing Aiden about my secret as a Guardian, but I knew that if I did, it would be catastrophic for us. On the other hand, I felt like I could trust him.

"Aiden… "I have to tell you something," I admitted.

"What is it?" With a troubled expression on his face, he asked.

"I'm… As Olivia entered the room, I halted in the middle of my statement.

"We're ready," she remarked as Aiden walked away from me and down the staircase. I walked slowly alongside them, frustrated that I couldn't even tell him the truth. I paused for a moment and hoped that I understood what I was doing as we made our way to an area in the mansion's back. Aiden and Olivia led me to a room that resembled a boardroom. Bright white spotlights hung from the ceiling, illuminating the atmosphere but also making me apprehensive.

A large polished white table rested in the centre of the room, with black leather chairs crammed all around it. A Werewolf sat on each seat, glaring ferociously at me. As Aiden began to converse with his werewolves, I, Aiden, and Olivia slowly began to take our seats in the chairs.

"WEREWOLVES RECENT INFORMATION HAS BEEN DISCOVERED WHICH COULD PREVENT THE WAR BETWEEN THE VAMPIRES & WEREWOLVES'' Aiden roared in a different persona than I'd seen previously. He sounded more abrasive and emotionless. Sweat began to gather on my temples as he signalled that it was my turn to speak.

I rose slowly, my hands shaking, and spoke to a group of individuals gazing at me.

"I've been conducting some research and have come across a lot of material regarding the origins of vampires." Ravana absorbed Bloodstone, her family's talisman, a long time ago. This Bloodstone provided her immortality, allowing her to create Vampires and the majority of the world's supernatural species. We might be able to halt the Vampire-Werewolf War if we can uncover this Bloodstone and find someone who can absorb its power," I stated as everyone gazed at me in disbelief. I leaned back in my chair, hesitantly, and drew a heavy sigh, relieved that it was over.

"How do you know this is going to work?" With a troubled gaze, a werewolf inquired.

"We don't," I said sternly, "but it's either this or the destruction of the supernatural world's two most powerful species."

"What are you going to choose?" I went on to say. Aiden had an epiphany and proposed that we have a vote, with the winner being the one with the most votes. Everyone appeared to like the concept, and it felt like the greatest method to figure out what plan would work best for us.

"Those who oppose this method, raise your hands," Aiden said.

Suddenly, a slew of hands, totalling nine, were raised. I was always aware that some people might object to my approach just because I was a hunter, but it seemed reasonable.

"Raise your hands if you agree with the strategy," Aiden said. Suddenly, a large number of hands were raised, ten in all, making me ecstatic.

"It appears that we'll be doing your approach," Aiden stated to me as everyone began to leave, some giving me friendly nods and others giving me piercing eyes. Olivia grabbed my shoulder and pushed me towards their kitchen just as I was going to return to Aiden's room. Her expression was filled with worry.

"Alessia, what the heck are you doing?" She shouted softly, checking behind us to make sure no one was following us.

"Can you tell me what you're talking about?" I inquired, unsure of what she was trying to imply.

"You need a Guardian to control the power of a magical artefact, but Alessia, you're intending to control a Bloodstone that holds all the power of the supernatural realm, and the power will kill you," she stated between tears.

"This is the only way we can save the supernatural world from crumbling," I said, my face buried in despair.

"Alessia, you're just comprehending your Guardian powers but I don't think you'll be able to achieve this," she added, her face disturbed.

"Trust me, I can do it," I said as I took her hands in mine. "However, after we discover it, you must make sure Aiden stays away so he doesn't figure out my secret or plan." Olivia's eyes were suddenly transfixed with terror as her head turned back to face me.

"What exactly is it, Olivia?" With a frightened glance on my face, I questioned. I turned cautiously, gulping as I saw Aiden standing behind us, his gaze enraged.
