Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 27-Alessia

I collapsed to the ground, clutching myself in anguish, as I exited the portal leaving only golden sparks behind which was sizzling in the air. I couldn't believe what had just occurred, yet all I could think was that it was all for the best. I stood up straight and began going towards the hospital after wiping the tears from my eyes. Slowly, I made my way to Noah's room, where he lay unconscious. I hesitantly approached his side, struggling to suppress all of the emotions that were bursting forth inside of me, when all of the lights in the room began to flicker uncontrollably and without warning.

I leapt to my feet, stunned by what had transpired. I gasped as I noticed my body blazing as sparks were erupting all over the room anew, this time more aggressively. The sparks were about to strike Noah, so I hastily built a force field around both of us, just as a spark slammed into it. I grabbed his hand, hoping it would finish soon, but the sky exploded in sparks, but then when I glanced out the window, it was no longer red, but black. The emotions I was suppressing at this moment may have been too much since black blood was now gushing out as I touched my eyes.

As I grasped Noah's hand, crimson magic flowed from my veins into Noah's eyes, and his eyes opened blood red.

"Alessia. Noah yelled, "The Vampires are hunting you, stay away!" just as he fell back unconscious.

"Who attacked you, Noah?" I asked, gasping as magic surged through my veins. I screamed as the spark finally exploded in the sky, causing an earthquake to erupt the entire ground causing bits of dust to enter my body. A cyclone struck shortly after the earthquake subsided, unlocking all the windows and doors and engulfing us in a fierce storm. I slumped on the ground, weak and in agony from the injury to my arm, and immediately I shut my eyes.

All I could do was drift in oblivion, trying to make sense of all the mistakes I'd made and how they'd all backfired on me. I awoke with lights flashing all around me. I rubbed my temples, feeling as if I'd just had a migraine. I turned around enough to find myself in a hospital bed, surrounded by various machines. A nurse appeared, just as I was going to push a needle out of my body. Her beautiful cider eyes glistened in the sunlight.

"Now that you're awake, settle down," she whispered sweetly, but I sensed something was wrong since she kept her distance from me. I realised something when I peered around my body and noticed that the force field was still up. These exclusively harmed supernatural beings, which could only imply one thing. My brain suddenly remembered what Noah had said. "The Vampires are on my tail."

"Thank you," I murmured, my heart pounding so loudly that I was sure she could hear it. I stepped up slowly, attempting to keep my balance but feeling lightheaded. I slammed into a supply cart and collapsed to the ground.

"LIE DOWN," she yelled but was taken aback by how she sounded.

I muttered, sweating profusely, "You're a Vampire." She burst out laughing like a madman.

"We will murder you no matter how hard you try," she shouted, her eyes flashing and fangs protruding.

With the aid of a neighbouring table, I arose and proceeded to swallow a bunch of painkillers off the desk, as well as drain the entire jug of water next to my bed. Then I started searching the entire room for my belongings, which I had discovered in a nearby cabinet. I changed while wrapping an invisibility cloak around me. These days, we need plenty of privacy. When I finished, I raised the cloak to reveal the Vampire using a phone to summon reinforcements. I decided not to wait any longer and started looking for the bag of crystals; however, just as I was about to find them, tens of Vampires smashed from my window and crashed in front of me. What I saw astounded me, and I stood there speechless.

"WHEREVER YOU GO, WE WILL FIND YOU AND KILL YOU, GUARDIAN," they shrieked.

"First, try to find me," I yelled as I crushed the crystal on the floor and dashed inside with my belongings. The portal whisked me away to Noah's room in an instant. I'd never leave him alone in this place. I shoved his bed with all the vigour I could muster. As dizziness began to overtake me, I slowly drew out a crystal.

"Keep it in Alessia," I told myself, hoping that it might assist me. I broke the crystal on the floor with my thoughts in my bedroom. A bright crimson doorway appeared out of nowhere.

"Come on, let's get you somewhere safe," I whispered regretfully as I pushed Noah through the portal with me, just as an arrow fired from the entrance and landed in my thigh. Since I didn't have enough energy, the force field had been lifted. However, I shoved Noah inside the portal with the last of my might hoping we would succeed.
