Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 32-Alessia

I screamed in misery when I awoke covered in sweat after a period of nightmares. Logan stormed into the room, startled.

"Are you alright?" In a lab coat, he inquired. To not bother him, I faked a grin and nodded.

"It was only a spider," I lied.

"Come on, I've got to show you something!" Logan rejoiced as he exited the room and made his way to his spot. I suddenly felt my palm and saw a lovely chunk of Bloodstone laying there. I stared at it in bewilderment, then transformed it into a ring and slipped it into my pocket with a fast touch of magic. I stepped forward slowly, wiping sweat from my forehead and taking a deep breath as I approached him.

There were potions of all colours and odours all about him, some stronger and more revolting than others.

"Close your eyes," Logan encouraged. I immediately wrapped my hands about my eyes, as Logan did to me.

Logan screamed, "No peeping," as he shattered bottles of potions all about me and began to produce a satisfying fizz. After a few moments of waiting, Logan lifted his hands from my face and allowed me to open my eyes. When I saw what had been made, I cried with joy. A whirlwind of mist engulfed us, changing hues continually.

"What do you think?" Logan inquired, his voice optimistic.

"I love it!" But I can create something with it," I continued as I began to carefully smash a potion from my pocket, causing sparks to fly all around us. The finished product looked incredible since it seemed like we were in the middle of a fireworks display which immediately brought me back to that night. Our excitement was pumping at the time, and we were beaming at each other. Logan bent closer to kiss me when I suddenly stopped him. All of a sudden, everything was frozen.

He muttered, devastated as he glanced to the floor, "Too soon sorry."

"Thank you," I said, kissing him on the cheek to express my gratitude. Logan grinned softly, his face beaming with joy. Ms Verlice entered the room at that same moment, her cheeks flushed with surprise.

"What is going on here?" She questioned, gasping, as she pushed the cyclone away from her desk.

"Sorry," we both muttered regrettably as we started cleaning as quickly as we could while silently chuckling.

"Please ask next time you couples want to have fun," she added as she sat at her desk, exhaustively staring at us.

"We're not a couple," we said at the same moment, nervously glancing at each other.

"That's what my friend and I used to say to our professors." We were married five years later," she said, twisting a gorgeous diamond ring on her finger. We exited the room gripping our chests after finishing cleaning and having to listen to Ms Verlice and her husband's whole chat.

"I was convinced I would never hear the end of it!" Logan let out a gasp.

"What do you want to do before the Academy finishes?" With a grin on my face, I inquired.

"What do you think we should do?" Logan inquired inquiringly.

I said regretfully, "I've got to help volunteer for Devora's memorial tomorrow, so you're choice."

"Me too," Logan replied with a smile.

"How about we do some avitation together?" Logan questioned with a smile, recalling our first class together and how he helped me from the potion that made me feel as if I was dying.

"Let's do it!" As we began heading towards the field at the rear of the Academy, I said with a cheer. As we travelled there, we talked about how we had painted together, and how we would do it again in the future and truthfully I would've loved it.

Finally, we arrived at the field, and after a careful sip of the potion, we soared to the sky as a team. It felt great to be free from a million things in our thoughts. Logan was the type of friend you didn't realise you needed until it was too late. Suddenly, a hawk appeared out of nowhere, causing me to lose my grasp. Logan caught me in mid-air as I was about to crash. The bell rung unexpectedly, but we remained stationary in the air. From underneath us, a group of individuals began to approach us.

"Could you please join us, Ms Aldine and Mr Hughes?" With a gloomy face, Mr Jackson inquired from underneath us.

We slowly returned to the ground, where I let out a silent scream scaring my soul. Aiden and Olivia, both with horrified expressions on their faces, stood in front of us.
