Strawberry

I came out of my thoughts when I realized that Alex wasn't sitting on the quilt with me. I looked up and found him standing beside the fireplace gazing at me. His eyes were filled with concern and something else. Fear? Maybe?

" Aren't you going to sit?" I asked looking at him.

" I'm-I'm sorry. I don't want you to forgive me but please just know that I'm sorry. This won't happen again." Alex apologized maybe the hundredth time after our bath.

"Just sit." I said and without a word, he sat beside me. I leaned my back on his chest and rested my head on his shoulder inhaling his masculine smell.

" I'm sorry, Anna." I heard Alex apologize to me again. I sat up straight and looked into his eyes. I could see the guilt in his eyes and I let out a sigh.

" I know that you are sorry." I said to him, not inverting by the gaze from his eyes.

" So, are you angry with me?" he asked me.
