9I came out of the dungeon safely with small wounds, scratches and bruises. But I got a lot of levelling and skills. There were no gatekeepers till floor 20 but I decided not to go any further and come back in a few days. I quickly returned to the village before they started looking for me.
From today, I had a job of keeping and protecting my loved ones and my village. After a quick journey of a few hours, I finally reached the village. Everyone was still sleeping from the hangover due to last night's party. I hastily went inside the central hut to change my clothes but I was surprised by Dillon who was standing there gazing at me with anger.
"Lord William. May I ask you where on the earth had you been to? You are late by 2 hours, you see. So let's get to work after you clean yourself."
Dillon was supeeeer angry at me. I was in trauma after seeing him perfectly fine after seeing him drink a whole 6 litres of alcohol. He is honestly a drunkard. He seems to be a gentleman and a serious-minded individual. However, the fact is that he IS a thoughtful soul. Even after drinking that much alcohol he still stood straight with his serious face with the determination of protecting everyone.
But he is reliable and strong. I just need a few more points that I will use to buy a skill that will help them get stronger after all only I can pick this sword and thus only I can enter the dungeon. With an intimidated tone I replied.
"Oh? It's you, Dillon. How are you? Aha haha. Are you fine after that previous night? Ahaha. I-I am glad that you are doing well."
With that, he got even angrier. He was burning with anger.
"This is not the time to joke around. Did you forget what you told us? Did you forget your goals? I do not wish to serve someone who doesn't care about other people's feelings after their work is done."
He was so serious yet he uttered something that I would never do. He was trying to make me realise that I should fulfil my promise. I made a promise.
"A promise of conquering the continent of Isernia is something that I am serious about. You don't have to worry about me forgetting something that I have sworn to my deceased father. And as for my current situation, I was training to get stronger so that I can protect all of you because all of you are my only family."
With a broad smile and confidence on my face, I was ready to begin my life as a master of a village.
"I am happy to see that you are still sane, Lord William. Get ready as we have a lot of problems to fix."
For the first time, I saw Dillon smile that broad. It was a marvellous sight to behold.
"Yeah yeah I got it. Skill: Clean and Heal."
I used the new abilities that I got. This ability cleaned up everything that I am wearing and heals me as well as anything I wear. It is truly a marvellous ability.
I got ready and sat on the chair that was newly made for me to sit. This chair was comfortable for me.
"Now bring me the existing situation of the village."
I bade Dillon. I already knew the situation of the village. This village was mostly destroyed by the army of the Kingdom of Vanil. After defeating the boars they worked hard the whole night to repair a few of the buildings for the ceremony. But even if this village was not destroyed I had a different plan from the very beginning.
"This is the current situation of our Island, the different tribes, their numbers and their village. Overall, the situation is average. I --"
I interrupted the description of the village Dillon was giving me.
"Dillon, call all of the representatives immediately. I want to have a small conversation."
"Yes, My Lord."
Dillon seemed surprised at my reaction. I knew that the village representatives were in the village so they could be called immediately.
After a few minutes, Dillon arrived with the Seven Coloured Deaths following him.
"I bought them as per your order. They are here my Lord."
Dillon startled me as I was thinking of a plan for the future. The seven representatives arrived and kneeled in front of me. And in unison, they shouted.
"What might be the reason as to why My Lord has summoned us?"
"No don't do something like that. Your Lord is yet to be the King. I want your help in achieving the large goal of shaking the world to its core."
I tried to increase their morale and the response was quick and positive.
"We agreed to die for your sake. Completing such goals will be like a daily habit for you, my Lord. We promise that to you."
They said something embarrassing yet fulfilling making me satisfied.
"Now you can stand up. Just listen to me very carefully." I started explaining my plans.
