There was an electric current holding Vivian’s lips to Everett’s, as she allowed it to fill her entire body. Pushing against Everett, feeling as if she couldn’t get close enough to his body, Vivian gripped at the hair at the base of his neck, forcing his lips to press harder against her own. She never wanted it to stop, this feeling of being attached to him, a part of him.
Vivian's mind fought the battle with itself, an unwanted distraction from the feeling building inside her body.
A part of Vivian’s mind screamed at her to stop, to break the connection because nothing good could come from anything with Everett. It would end, painfully. That she’d already affirmed. But that other side of her, that side desperate for life outside of all of this, to ignore everything that she was, would not let go.
