Chapter 86: Ava's Confession

The moment the door closed, Ava turned to Blair clasping her hands around her shoulder and pulling her into her shaking body. Blair allowed her to hold her there for a long time, Ava wishing she’d never pull away from her but knowing she had to tell her the truth. Reluctantly, she pulled away from Blair, her cheeks burning as tears cascaded down them.

“Ava, it will be okay,” Blair tried to console her, but it only seemed to make it worse.

“No, Blair, it’s not. I’m so sorry Everett involved you in all this.”

“I involved myself, so let's be clear about that,” Blair assured. “But I have to be honest, Ava. I’m not completely sure what we are doing here.”

“I don’t think any of us are sure about anything anymore.”

“Ava, what do you think will happen -”

“I need to tell you something,” Ava interjected, not able to hold in her secret a second longer.
