Chapter 87: On Fire

This time when a knock came on Vivian’s door, she hesitated. Pressing her hand up against the door, she found herself wishing it was Everett. Vivian had little time to think about her relationship with Everett, figure out her feelings following his confession about his true reasons for wanting to free Cici. She wanted to believe Everett, but that would mean believing that love faded, that he didn’t believe he could love someone forever. Vivian had never considered it, but suddenly she found herself wanting Everett forever. Or rather just wanting forever with Everett.

But it wasn’t Everett on the other side of the door.

“Ava, what’s going on?”

“Like I said, we need to talk,” Ava rushed into the room, pushing the door from Vivian’s hand and closing it gently. “You need to know some things.”

“Ava, what happened with your coven?”
