After Jaxon's two rounds of winning, a lot of people were nervous to fight him, but Caville continued to draw more papers, and now everyone was sweating.
Except for Kade.
Blaine thought of Kade as a boy who seemed to be very overconfident in himself, therefore believing he should control everything. It was probably the fact that he was born an hour later than Blaine, making him very bitter.
But once Caville reached her hand out again, she looked at it, and chuckled.
"Why is she chuckling?" someone whispered. And then, she said, "Jaxon and Kade."
Everyone gasped at them, knowing this was going to be a tough battle.
Jaxon and Kade were very good fighters, and it could mean bad news if they fought. It would be a very bloody battle, so everyone was enthralled by this choice.
Kade got his own while Jaxon kept his, and they both got into the stance.
Their eyes focused on each other's eyes, making sure to show no sign of weakness. They weren't going to lose, never.
Then, Caville announced, "Fight!" And they did, coming in with a strong attack.
They both started reflecting off each other's attacks, making sure to keep their bodies safe as well. But then Kade dodged out of the way, and suddenly kicked him in the thigh.
Jaxon cried in pain, giving time for Kade to immediately roundhouse kick him to the floor. In a matter of thirty seconds, Kade was the winner.
Shock rushed through the crowd's faces, as well as Blaine's. Caville was also surprised, closing the lid onto the bowl.
"So, who'd like to challenge him?" she asked.
Silence was amongst them, with no one wanting to fight him. No hands raised, no voice spoken, just silence.
But then, someone raised their hands, with everyone gasping at such bravery. It was Blaine, who raised his hand high.
Kade looked astonished, but then he gave a smirk and he chuckled villainously. "Well, I see the future king wants to prove himself eh?"
Blaine decided to not react to his comments, to show no weakness or anger towards Kade.
"So you don't want to say anything?" he said with a scoff. "The only thing you'll be saying is 'mommy!'"
"Let's just fight Kade," Blaine hissed, as he got his stance ready.
Everyone keenly looked with suspense, not sure who was going to win. Blaine had the smarts, and could somehow calculate what type of move to do against someone's attack.
But Kade was just too quick and strong, being able to takedown an opponent in less than ten seconds. It was only a miracle that Jaxon had thirty.
But nonetheless, Caville shouted, "Go!" And they fought, keeping themselves defended with their weapons as they gave in little strikes between.
This strategy could work, but it would take a long time before any damage would be done.
Blaine continued to move backwards, just to give him space against Kade's quick blows. Then, he dodged a swing—using the opportunity to kick him in the chest.
That was a good move and Kade knew it himself, explaining the anger that was written all over his face. He yelled once he came in for the attack, but instead of swinging his stick, he jumped.
He spread out his legs and whipped them around circularly, and suddenly—Blaine felt his foot collide with his face, with the force pushing him back onto the floor.
But he was able to recover, rolling back on to his feet. Everyone gave a little clap just for that move, and Blaine felt honored, but didn't show it.
"Well, that was a nice move—but this is going to be over soon," Kade hissed and he waited right there, for Blaine's attack.
Blaine didn't move, and Kade chuckled. "Too scared to fight me?"
"No, I'm too smart to fight you," Blaine said. "After all, you said it yourself—I'm not a fool Kade."
"You soon will be," Kade replied. "Just watch."
He rushed forward, with his stick being firmly stationed in position.
Blaine prepared his stance for this type of situation, and then he came in with a swing, but—he missed. Kade jumped backwards, letting the force of the swing pull him down.
Then Kade raised his stick, and smacked it upon Blaine's face. He jumped off of the arena and onto the soft grass, groaning in pain.
His head rang.
His heartbeat continued to rise in tempo.
The students looked in horror, as Kade scoffed at the sight of his brother. "Too smart to fight me? I think not."
Then, he dropped his stick and walked through the path separating a group of seats and another, giving him a very cool entrance inside the door.
Blaine couldn't think, he couldn't move—he felt as if his body was reduced to liquid. But eventually, someone helped him up.
"I got you," Jaxon said, as he put him on his seat. Students started crowing around Blaine, who still seemed halfway dead.
Now Blaine was in his room, with an icepack on the side of his head, although he wasn't hit there, but felt like he was.
Kade was also in there, on his phone and minding his own business for once, but they never spoke since they came in.
Then suddenly, someone opened the door.
"Hey, Blaine," Micah said, confused as to why he had an icepack. "What happened?"
"Just hurt himself in practice," Kade quickly responded, not giving Blaine a chance to even speak—although it was technically true.
"Oh, are you okay?" Micah asked, walking over to Blaine.
"Yeah, I'm fine. . . I think," Blaine said, truly unsure if he was. Micah nodded, looking around the gray room with many drapes on them.
"Anyways, I came to tell you about something we're going to do."
"Huh?"
"Yes, it's important—very important."
The brothers looked at him with keen interest, and Micah sat on the bed, ready to tell the boys. "So, we are going to take care of some business somewhere, and I was going to bring you there."
"Are we going to Hemor again?" Kade asked, with a little pinch of attitude.
"No, Kade," the king responded. "We're going to Syndromane this time, because of some things we need to take care of."
The boys were bewildered with the answer that King Micah gave. Usually, they would go to Hemor as a vacation whenever Micah had time, which was usually a lot.
But they never went to Syndromane.
This was the first time they could see the famous statue, one that they always wanted to see in person. "So when are we going?" Blaine asked. Micah returned, "We expect by at least three days, just to be more prepared."
"Okay," Kade said, returning back to his phone.
Micah left the room and closed the door after giving Blaine and his brother a little kiss to the forehead. "Wow, Syndromane, this is gonna be fun," Blaine said, putting the ice pack back on his head.

Two days passed, and it was time to go to the beautiful kingdom of Syndromane. Blaine and Kade were dressing up, just attaching their belts to their uniform whenever they were going somewhere special.
"So, what do you wanna do there?" Blaine asked Kade, while he was just about to tighten his belt. "I don't know, I just hope it's worth leaving this place," Kade replied.
After they were done dressing up, they came out the door. Xavier was there waiting for their arrival, and he seemed pretty happy for this certain trip they were going on.
"Ready princes?" he asked, and they both nodded.
They started walking to the elevator, going down to the first floor, and then finally arriving at the front door of the castle.
The limo was prepared as usual, but something was different. Maybe it was the fact that there were five limos right behind it. Blaine wasn't sure why there was so much, but he decided to not think too much about it.
When they got inside of the limo, they immediately started driving away.
The ride to Syndormane was not too long as thought, coming in at two hours. But eventually, they arrived in the kingdom.
It seemed as if they were preparing for their arrival, because all the gates were open with a bunch of soldiers with guns and swords standing outside.
They entered some parking lot, where there were a bunch of cars that were parked, except one space. Kade guessed it was probably a bunch of kingdoms meeting at some place or somewhere.
When they arrived, the drivers got out of the car and opened the door for the royal family, except for Iris—which they saw yesterday at night.
She was going to a negotiation meeting with another kingdom, although no one knew which.
"Okay, so me and Peter are going to meet with the king, okay guys?" Micah said. "Xavier will follow you guys okay?"
"Alright," Blaine and Kade said, with big smiles.
