"Since we are done with work, do you want to grab dinner or something tonight with me?" he asked.

I almost forgot that he wasn't aware of Miles and me. I just hope today won't be the day, because I would hate to break it to him. Plus I wasn't ready for any drama yet.

"No, maybe some other time I'm tired," I said when we got to the exit.

"I honestly knew you would say that. But come on Paige, we haven't spent time together even as friends for a while now. Are you sure things are okay between us?" he asked.

Yes, we are cool but we can't hang out anymore, Bryan.

"Yes, I am just tired," I said trying to sound as tired as possible.
