The Devil and the Goddess

There was a tense silence that overcame the school despite the chaos. Seeing Hecate overwhelmed by Darkness, Raven took a step forward.

Though she stopped as she witnessed Hecate's hair and fur color begin to shift. Brown darkened into black. Pink shifted into a purple hue. The white streaks increased, trailing down her hair further as her tail fur changed too, bristling like a wild animal's would. Hecate exhaled a black fog as her lips cracked into a feral grin. What once was Hecate was now staring at her prey, at Raven.

"Of all things.. I didn't expect her to go feral. Anything to add, Tearwyn?" Raven asked the Goddess on her shoulder.

~A feral goddess of balance? That doesn't bode well for the Omniverse. But since Lilith isn't directly interfering..~ Pride spoke in her mind, trailing off.

"Hm~ Yes, actually. Watch out for pure physical-" Tearwyn's voice was drowned out as a maelstrom of magic aura was unleashed from Hecate's body.

Hecate held her hand out and summoned a katana, unsheathing it and rearing her arm back. Raven responded in kind, preparing to swing Omen until Tearwyn made a panicked sound, pulling them both out of the world and moving them to another.

They briefly appeared in an unfamiliar megacity that reminded Raven of Japan, surrounded by skyscrapers and busy streets. Until their blades met and an extremely loud 'CLANG' was heard. The shockwave of the clash instantly obliterating the city around them and spreading at an alarming rate.

Tearwyn shook her head and sighed comically before exclaiming, "Phew! You almost ruined that world. Sis Hecate would get upset if she knew she destroyed the world her friends are from! Go wild in this world though. I think it's some world where teenage girls dress up as sailors and fight monsters..?"

Tearwyn muttered the last part while Raven was forced to slide back over five kilometers from the impact. Raven's arms shook as she lifted them back up, her expression full of shock as she realized the outcome of a single exchange. The area around them had been obliterated, as if by an extreme earthquake hit the city and sent cars flying and buildings collapsing. The sheer number of bodies and fleeing people reminded her of World War Two. As did the people.

"Are we.. in Japa-" Raven snapped to attention as she saw a blur of black, purple and white bounce off buildings before hitting her square in the face.

~I think she means Sailor Moon? So, inconsequential then. But don't end this too soon by using all of your authorities. Enjoy the battle. Oh and look out for her punches will you?~ Pride added with a soft hum of battle lust.

Raven rocketed through numerous buildings before repositioning her body in mid air and blocking a katana, swung by Hecate at speeds she struggled to keep up with. Raven broke off the clash of blades and struck Hecate in the stomach with her knee before putting her in a headlock as they fell back into the city. Though contrary to Raven's expectations, Hecate's tails wrapped around her arms, legs, neck and waist, pulling her off and making Raven plummet back into the city. Hecate's feral face stretched back into a grin as she used Raven as a surf board while crashing into multiple buildings until hitting a bullet train and derailing it.

~You don't say!? She's fast as hell and hits like a freight train on steroids~ Raven spat back in her mind.

Raven hit and slid across the streets, violently throwing cars in the air as she came to a stop. A small smile made its way on her face as she wiped her bloody lip and looked up, seeing Hecate swing a loaded train at her with her tails. Raven quickly unsheathed Omen and cut the train before it hit her, hitting an unlucky business man that happened to be in the way.

~Speaking of trains.. Don't get one run on you. Literally and well..~ Pride commented back.

~Will you stop? I'm not trying to think about sex while fighting..~ Raven grumbled a reply before focusing on Hecate.

"Strong.. Fast too. Okay, sister.. let's kick it up a bit!" Raven exclaimed as she kicked off the ground and ducked a swing from Hecate's claw, smashing her fist into her face in a counter that turned the surrounding neighborhood into a crater. Tearwyn whistled at the destruction before tapping Raven on the shoulder.

"Heads up~"

Tearwyn warned but Raven found her right leg grabbed by Hecate's tail and violently started swinging her around and around. Hecate's tail stretched over a dozen kilometers long and brought Raven straight down into a Nuclear power plant, creating a rather large explosion and deadly release of radiation into the air. But that wasn't the end. Hecate swept her tail to the side, using Raven as a battering ram and sweeping her through hundreds of buildings before dropping her, leaping in the air and coming down at extreme speed.

~Great.. I'm nuking Japan again~ Raven internally sighed while blocking the hits with her armored arms.

Raven had been mitigating the damage with her arms and omen through everything but being swept across a metropolis was still painful. As soon as Hecate came down with a dropkick, she flipped away from direct impact and slashed her across the chest before kicking her in the head and launching her back into an oncoming group.

The group happened to be consisted of five teenage girls and a child, who seemed completely horrified at the sheer destruction caused in so little time. They looked at the back of Hecate and prepared to join in the battle. Unfortunately for them, she noticed them first. Her tails stretched out and wrapped around each girl, lifting them into the air as she started to laugh.

~Yeah they're dead~ Pride stated with amusement.

"Hehehe... Hehehehehehe... Aha.. hahahahahahahahaha!!" Hecate laughed maniacally as she looked at her claws, clenching her fingers repeatedly.

"Hurry! Moon Prism pow-" A blonde teen began to shout, yet was cut off when Hecate's tails squeezed down and turned them all into compressed balls of bloody meat before flicking the remains at Raven at hypersonic speeds.

Raven ran at her sister, cutting one ball in half as the others scattered across Japan, killing more people with shards of bone flying at mach seven. Hecate smiled when she saw Raven none too worse for wear. Her pupils sharpened as her mana flared, bathing the world in inky darkness in under a minute, causing Raven to slide to a stop.

"Tch.. Tearwyn dear.. you don't care what happens to this world, right?" Raven asked with trepidation, witnessing her sister begin to transform.

"Hehe~ Don't worry about the damages. I can easily repair all this. You and sister Hecate can go 'ham' here! In fact, I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of transformation she's going through~" Tearwyn leaned forward, watching Hecate transform.

What stood before them now could maybe be called a nine tailed fox. Her appearance was vastly different from what one would normally picture one to be. Firstly, she was bepedal with reverse joint legs. Going up, was a skinny waist that got larger as it transitioned to her chest that possessed thick, protective fur. Followed by four, long skinny arms that ended in claws and three fox heads. The middle one possessing an extra eye on its forehead that locked onto Raven.

"Hoo... Yeah, skills, strength and speed aren't going to cut it for this. This is starting to get fun.." Raven chortled as she prepared to face Hecate again.

Only to find herself immediately trying to block a strike that almost decapitated her. Luckily, the Witchblade's armor and Sloth authority helped her take the hit safely. Though there was a cut on her neck at least five centimeters in. Her grin widened before being struck twice more by Hecate's claws, successfully batting Raven North West, out of Japan and into North Korea.

"Wooooo! She sure hits hard! I gotta show her what she transformed into later. I have the perfect line.." Tearwyn chimed in as Raven landed in Pyongyang and destroying the Presidential Palace.

"Does it have anything to do with that fox song? I think I just killed Kim Jong Un.." Raven remarked, flicking blood off her heel.

~There, you accidentally did a good deed. Still upset about nuking Japan.. again?~ Pride asked, only to get a dirty look from Raven.

"No but that's a good one too~ Oh hey, what da dog doin'?" Tearwyn asked, pointing up at the air where an ultra bright light could be seen before it descended upon them.

Raven quickly leapt away, seeing a giant magic beam burn through the earth where she previously was. Then the atmosphere suddenly began to vanish and massive earthquakes shook the planet. Lava exploded out from the massive trench Hecate created and began to cover tge surface of the Earth. Raven flew up and witnessed the total damage. The beam had carved a massive line through the center of the Earth and kept going for thousands of kilometers.

"Destroying the planet apparently.. Incoming!" Raven shouted, blocking a dozen hits near lightspeed before ducking the next swing after getting used to the speed, grabbing Hecate by the ankle and spinning her rapidly, throwing her at extreme speeds with the assistance of her Wrath authority.

Hecate's body quickly became engulfed in flames before striking the surface of Mars, effectively ejecting a quarter of the planet's surface into space from the destructive impact. Raven stared as the red planet lit up for a few moments.

"Greed's been improving my physical prowess to match hers. But she never struck me as someone who just used brute force when she fights." Raven commented as she floated in space.

"Well this is only the first step! Hecate can't come back when the dark influence in her is so overbearing it made her feral. The real test comes after this. Either way, you two are very strong! I bet Sister Artoria would have so much fun fighting you~" Tearwyn added.

Just as Raven thought to respond, she found herself dodging another giant beam of magic, followed by two more. Seeing the magic fire from Mars' surface, a black snake sprouted from Raven's back, along with wings made by the Witchblade. The snake reached out to the moon and bit down into the rocky surface, getting a good hold of it while Raven prepared to move.

"Oh this will be fun! Three.. two.. one..!" Tearwyn clapped and counted down before the snake used the moon to slingshot Raven toward Mars.

"WEEEEEE!" Tearwyn joyously exclaimed while Raven began to dodge giant magic lasers.

While Raven was getting closer, the feral Hecate saw the crimson silhouette of Raven and Tearwyn rapidly approach. She snarled and prepared to fire more magic from her three heads until a small headache hit the middle head. Shaking its head, a small spark of intelligence shone through its eyes and its face split into a devious grin. The other two heads unleashed another laser, yet intentionally missed the oncoming Raven. Hecate stared at the Yamato in her right claw and took a stance to draw it while pumping an inconceivable amount of magic within it that gradually outshone the sun in a single, dense point. Within Hecate's beastial eyes was a growing sense of anticipation and enjoyment, waiting for her sister to attack.

As Raven drew close, she felt a sudden rise in temperature behind her. Tearwyn looked back and her eyes lit up.

"Oooooh!! She made the sun go supernova! Those earlier shots weren't for you.. They were to supercharge the sun with her divine mana. That's unexpectedly clever for the state she's in. And you feel that too, right?" Tearwyn asked, bouncing on Raven's shoulder.

"That overwhelming magic she's condensing in one spot? Yeah. She's going to destroy more than the solar system with that." Though she said that, Raven's expression was filled with battle lust.

"And she has so little control of her magic authority too.. Hehehehehe~" Tearwyn started giggling in excitement as Raven reached Mars' orbit.

Seeing her opponent approach, Hecate's eyes narrowed, seeing Raven with her arm held back, ready to swoop in and strike with Omen, a trail of massive crimson flames coming off her body and sword. Hecate stomped her left leg down and waited.

Fifty kilometers.. Forty kilometers.. Thirty kilometers.. Twenty kilometers.. Ten kilometers.. She practically salivated as she waited to strike her enemy down in the most spectacular way imaginable.

One kilometer.. One meter.. Hecate swung her arm at near light speed. Space was cut in half, then the planet, then the remants of Earth, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto.

An extremely quiet yet overpowering metallic noise was unleashed. At the moment she swung, Raven leapt over the Yamato by a hair's breath and impaled Omen into Hecate's chest before unleashing her Wrath authority and burning her, along with all of Mars in its Crimson fire.

Raven collapsed and rolled across the now glassy, dusty surface of Mars with shaky breaths.

"I very nearly died back there.. Haha.. Hahahahaha!" Raven chuckled, hearing Tearwyn gasp in awe.

Then she looked around, noticing the massive cut in space. The slice that was still traveling past the solar system and into deep space. Raven chortled at the absurdity before looking over at Hecate. Injured as she was, she seemed less enraged now and more.. annoyed. Hecate clicked her tongue before pulling Omen out of her chest and planting the blade into the glassy surface around her.

"I was so sure I'd hit you there.. Ahh well... I'll have to kick it up a notch, I guess" Hecate spoke, shrinking back into her more human appearance.

Yet her changed colors remained the same, she seemed far more dangerous now than before. Hecate looked at Raven with a wide, manic grin before kicking the handle and making Omen fly at her, cutting Raven's cheek open before its blade sunk into the ground next to her.

"So! Round two?"

[HEY GUUUUYS... Sorry about the hiatus. RWBY burnout hit hard and I wanted to get this fight juuuust right. But now? I'm back in the chair and ready to end this arc. Hope you enjoy as much as I am <3]
