The Battle Of Trafalgar- III

The battle between the retreating forces was set to happen at any moment, but the biggest showdown was at the port of Trafalgar. It was the last stand of the queen of Lynx against the incoming Asphodel forces.

The seven boats left Asphodel's shores a while ago but were now in direct confrontation with the Lynx, which anyone had not expected.

The boats were faced with the blasting attack of the ever-before-seen cannons of the Lynx's forces, and it was a challenging situation to overcome without any assistance.

The ships were led by the person known as the successor of Yuuka, Amagi Maya. A genius known was tactical skills and winning strategies. At the age of 20, he was the youngest graduate of the expert military commanding school.

All the school taught him different battles of history and strategies made by the various leaders throughout time and how they brought their countries and armies out of the worst positions.

But all that was just theory, and the problem was that the human mind was much more than a machine working one way. No two generals followed each other in every way; differences were always there.

Each strategy brought advantages and flaws of different methods, and one could only learn that on the battlefield. It was Maya's first time on a battlefield, leading forces in a challenging situation.

"Sir, that do we do; the enemy cannons are two strong; we have already lost one large and one small ship."

"How many soldiers were lost in the assault?"

"More than 100, Sir. Some of them have swam back to our ships, but they have lost all their guns and bullets."

"I see. How much is their range of shots, 1-2 miles."

"It seems like an improved version of Napoleon's basic ponder smoothbore. How did they even get their hands on something like this? I think we were on a no-arms trade with the French."

The no–arms deal with multiple nations was to set the struggle within the kingdoms to not give any direct advantage to a domain with lower finances; this was a direct violation of the pact. But he was not in a position to talk about the deal and agreements to the enemy.

"We are going to counterattack and land on the land with everything we got; seeing so much resistance here makes it seems like Commander is doing well in his regard."

The ships were now five in number, and the men were getting lower with each shot by the cannons.

"Now, let's get the ships going. We will win this one."

The situation at the port was different; the Asphodel forces were losing. Lynx had scored the first strike, but the battle was not over. The queen was still coordinating the troops well.

"The watchtowers are filled with the material you requested, but the amount is still less than we expected."

"Don't worry about it. It must have been raining for a long time near the castle area. The Asphodel troops sure are having a hard time there, and we need some of that to hang around till they-

"."

A cannon shot fell right on the port, shocking the entire army,

"What is happening?!"

The soldiers on the port used their watch glasses to look at the ships, but they were already too close.

"The ships are moving closer! Attack them with all you have!"

The ships sailed in the water at high speed, manoeuvring through the cannon shots getting closer and closer.

On the ships that rode upfront, Maya rode the ships, crossing all the shots predicting their positions, and trying to reach the place he needed for his plan to win over the port.

Three ships also rode behind him, and they stopped and turned their hull towards the port, their cannons now directly facing enemy ports.

"Now it's a fair battle. We are both in each other's range of attack now. Let's see how's better, the cheater or the smart."

The boats were in front of the port, and the Lynx's army left no time to attack the ships; a volley of shots was loaded in the cannon and fired at the enemy.

The shots left the cannon with a massive blast of smoke around the port, flying at Asphodel's ships. The guns were widely effective against the ships until now; they could even sink two of them.

"It is ineffective! The ships tanked all the shots that hit."

The Asphodel forces didn't come unprepared. Their ships could hold the shots which quickly sunk one of them before.

"These ships are equipped with the best hull armour you could get in the Kingdoms, all self-made. The Asphodel technology will lead you to your ruin. Fill the cannon and blast them off!"

The ships loaded their shots directly at the port, and while they loaded their shells, the small vessels also charged their cannons.

The volley was fired, and it rained upon the Lynx's port. The volley fired was many seconds, and the soldier was crushed under the enemy's shots.

"Fall back! Get to safety!"
