An azure hologram appeared in front of my eyes, making a wide smile spread across my face.

Upon seeing the loot, I felt my entire body fill with excitement and anticipation.

I was even close to jumping in joy!

Not only did I receive a unique spell but also a unique skill book!

< Congratulations on reaching Lv. 4... Lv. 6... Lv. 8... Lv. 10 >

< Level 3 → Level 10 >

< +70 SP >

A massive influx of Experience flooded my body, propelling me from Level 3 to Level 10 in an instant.

With such power and rapid pace of advancement, I was probably the most powerful player in Fragmental.

If I remember correctly, in my past life, the first player reached level 10 only one week after the game's release, demonstrating the remarkable progress I have made.

Smiling from ear to ear, I quickly inspected my newly received items that the boss dropped.

1️⃣ < Eerie Staff > { Gold }

-- Staff made out of the Eldritch wood and Diamond

~ MP +30

~ INT +15

~~~~
2️⃣ < Demon Prince's Crown > { Platinum }
-- A Crown made for the Ruler of Demons
~ MP +50
~ MDEF +40
~ HP +50
~ { ??? } Sealed
~~~~

The first item I got was a very powerful staff, however, my eyes were glued to the second object - the Demon Prince's Crown.

More specifically, to the seal that mysterious crown held.

"The day is getting better and better..."

This unknown part was a hidden property of the item.

While I might not be able to use it yet since I need to become powerful enough to release the seal, it would surely be very powerful.

The items with seals are very rare and sought after by many players.

Click...

Equipping both of the items, I felt a sudden increase in my attributes.

However, since I now had the < Eerie Staff >, the other one had to go.

"You've served me well for the last few hours..."

Placing the < Darkling Staff > into the rubles, I made sure to lay it down as softly as possible.

This was my first weapon, after all.

Tap... Tap...

After the Staff's funeral ended, I walked up to the castle's window and glanced at my blurry reflection in the glass.

What greeted me was a young Demon male with lifeless, dark-as-void eyes and raven-black hair.

Fortunately or not, the game doesn't allow players to change their appearance, so none could commit crimes and hide behind the new face.

However, even though the game doesn't allow its players to change their faces, one can get items that could hide it.

Suddenly, my eyes were drawn toward the top of my head.

The two previous small and almost unnoticeable horns were now slowly growing larger, curling into the distinct shape of a crown.

They looked majestic, however, at the same time, very eye-catching.

And I was in no need of drawing any extra attention to myself.

Whoosh...

Pulling my robe's hood on my head, I made sure that both of my horns were somewhat concealed underneath the shadow of the fabric.

"Okay, time for unboxing!"

After I was done with the tangible items, I moved on to the most interesting part, the unique books!

Taking two old tomes out of my inventory, I couldn't help but smile widely, knowing that in my previous life, I didn't even dare to think that I could get a unique book.

With trembling hands, I touched one of the tome's covers, watching as it disappeared into Light particles.

< New Spell Learned! >

In an instant, I opened my Status Window and navigated toward the spell section.

1️⃣ Demonic Flame < Lv. 1 >

-- A Flame that can endlessly grow by eating...

~ True Damage

~ AoE Damage

~ Cost 20 MP

~ 10 second cooldown

~~~~
Reading through the spell's description, for a moment, I froze in my position, gears slowly spinning within my mind.
"What does 'Endlessly' mean?"
I mumbled under my nose while trying to wipe off a huge smile lingering on my face.
My imagination ran wild...
If I were to truly have a spell that can endlessly grow it would be pretty much a blessing.
There were simply no limits to such ability. It will outgrow other players, monsters or even bosses.
However, I was also aware that [ Fragmental ] is by no means an easy game.
Growing this spell is going to be a hassle...
But I was all up for the challenge!
"What if I could burn a monster with just this single ability?"
I was trying to imagine how a spell that could potentially become more powerful than an Authority would look like.
Suddenly, an idea popped up in my mind.
Spinning around my heel, I shifted my eyes toward the Dark Prince's body still lying on the library's floor, lifeless and unmoving.
Quickly approaching the carcass, I bent down and cast my newly acquired Spell.
Crackle...
A white flame appeared on my palm, illuminating the surrounding area with an eerie glow.
Although the spell was mine and didn't harm me, I held my breath unknowingly.
"Let's see how you burn..."
Placing my palm against the massive Demon's chest, I allowed the flame to spread on its lifeless body.
Whoosh...
Within a minute, the entire monster was engulfed by the white flames, dancing on his skin like beautiful flickering butterflies.
Soon, the entirety of the Prince's corpse was burnt into the ashes, leaving no trace of its existence.
However, another hologram appeared before me.
< Demonic Flame devoured a Hidden Boss! >
~ +50 Souls
~~~~

My eyebrows twitched as I stared at the flame's growth. I didn't know the extent of its power-up, however, I was sure that it was slowly growing.

I was also close to drooling when thinking about the Demonic Flame devouring the World Boss.

How many souls would it receive then?

However, I quickly took hold of myself, pulling out a second unique book and instantly consuming it.

< New passive Skill Learned >

Licking my lips, I quickly read through the new skill's description.

1️⃣ Dark Energy < Lv. 1 >

-- Gather Mana while staying in the Darkness

~ 15 Mana per minute

~ No cost

~ No cooldown

~~~~
I was happy, very happy since I got a passive skill that the Dark Prince also had, which was very rare. Unfortunately, my standards were set a bit too high due to the Demonic Flame spell I've just received, hence I was only amazed for about 5 seconds.
If my previous life self heard what I was thinking, he would beat me to death.
Shaking my head, I abandoned the useless thoughts and opened my Status Window.
I had exactly 70 SP and I was really tempted to put them all in my INT Attribute.
Who doesn't want to have high damage?
However, somehow, I managed to control my inner ape, putting 35 SP into my agility.
This fight showcased that I was not agile enough to dodge even the slowest spells in the monster's arsenal.
Imagining myself fighting against an assassin was painful.
After that, I put 20 SP into my INT and 15 into my MP attributes.
The day was going very well...
