For the most part its typical returner vrmmo fair, but the Author makes 2 very bold decisions that stand out, however, they also don’t seem to have thought through the consequences. 1) The NPCs are near lifeless automatons running a script and listening to key words, with occasional cutscenes. The author describes NPC interactions and story elements as boring to even the mc so what does it mean for anyone to play this game, why are they doing it at all, it can't be just combat gameplay right? Leads to point 2. 2) The author casually tosses out an absolute bombshell that time moves 48x faster in the game. This has insane consequences: the mc returned after 12 years means he is nearly 500 years old. With the game a person with a lifespan of 100 years could live closer to 4800 years! This is also where most of the logic of the story breaks down. Why did the company make a game when they invented the fountain of eternal life? Why would a company make a game when they made the ultimate productivity machine? How are relationships affected when a weekend apart is over 2 months of separation (16 hours a day gaming, 2 days becomes 64)? How is work affected? On Mondays I forget what I was working when leaving on Friday, just 48 hour gap imagine a 64 days. Also in game timing has numerous errors because author does not consistently consider the 48x speed when narrative requires cooldowns for abilities or delays in quests, or when MC talks about how much time has elapsed. Why does the MC act like a 20 year old when he is the oldest human on the planet after his return? Why is he attracted to anyone not mentally in their hundreds, or getting flustered by anything he should have seen it all and become a curmudgeonly person right? Other points of interest for me: - So far the MC is a near pure mage (yay!), unfortunately there are hints of him becoming a boring typical magic swordsman considering his last life was a sword class and him wielding a staff covered in fire occasionally. - Shadow powers are cool -He knows way too much about the game, from his perspective his early unlocks should be things he heard in rumours 500 years ago not something he knows in detail and can just follow the steps. He should be able to sniff out points of interest not know exactly where they are and every intimate detail. - The game presents all the stats and abilities of the enemies; this is bad for both the game and the narrative. Why not make the combat more exciting for both the characters and readers if abilities need to be guessed at like in a real fight. Each fight could be far far more interesting. In conclusion if you have read a returner VRMMO you have probably know what to expect, but the flavor of a shadow mage who at least for now isnt a lame magic swordsman has me liking the brew. The author has 2 bold choices that I think they could lean into to really spice up what makes this story more unique than a typical entry in the genre.

Currently on ch 8 and it’s solid. To make the novel not boring wish he ain’t winnin always and faces some losses. Hope there ain’t no clichè characters, 1 IQ villains, and the plot is not repetitive!

not going to lie to you all, I got to about chapter 60+ and dropped the story. to many unrealistic stat numbers were thrown around to often, and became inconsistent in the back of my mind while reading took a month for a character to get to lv10 in his past life, when realistically with the numbers given it wld take 1 week max. the final nail in the coffin for me tho was the MC just casually keeping the biggest snitch in the game around him, even when he is actively trying to keep a low profile and not let his info get out to the world so soon. also the game can partially affect ur looks??? that was a random piece of info that gets glossed over with no explanation or prior info to fall back on. for those of u who will still keep reading even with the points mentioned above, I can at least say the character gets some brownie points in the fact he looks at stocks and flipping, instead of solely relying on finding his next boss cheese. the items are unique enough to not b generic boring mock ups. the story progression doesn't seem to stagnate currently, so it seems to have a steady movement. if u like rebirth MMO's that rely on finding future rankers becuz "friendship" this one's for u.

kinda boring, hitting cliche after the next. parents died —> becomes a guild slave —> returns to the past —> promises to save parents and make money —> uses knowledge to chesse bosses and complete quests. i mean thats generally the formula that makes these novels. at least it kills time

It's a good story, to be honest. It's just that, I don't see any unique characteristic of this novel that separates it from other novels of the same genre. It would be better if the Author can add something that can only be unique to this novel and this novel alone.

the story is fun and I'm happy that everybody is chill and try to enjoy the game and doesn't have the cliche where everybody try kill each other and the mc IRL over the smallest of inconveniences and I like the fact that he doesn't have as many inconveniences like his parents disapprove of him playing a game and such but the mc's personality is kind of bland but is still developing so that's fine but the big problem I have with him is that he has the attention span of a gold fish to the point were he start daydreaming in the middle of the fight which get him almost killed multiple times and sometimes have me questioning his intelligence were he gets him self in trouble for the stupidest of reasons like forgetting to press the [NO] botton when the game asked him if he want to reveal his identity which led him to being exposed to the world and forgetting to buy hp/mp potions when needing them despite complaining about forgetting about it two times

Story is pretty intriguing so far at chapter 45, there are a few grammar mistakes here and there but nothing detrimental. Overall I'd give it 5 out 5 bananas🍌

I really like this story[img=update], I always wanted to read romantic novels with action. I am in love with the interaction between both leads and looking forward to their romance booming. Also for the game it is just explained that it is just a virtual reality game there is no connection with reality it isn't like the in-game attributes will get transferred to players in real life so why is everyone after him in real life like they are going to kill him or something. Really like the main MC character no show off or overly arrogant or egoistic. Low profile and not like to show off[img=recommend]

It's a good story as far as I have read it and I like it, although the start is a bit cliche, it branches out as most of the VRMMORPG novels do...and the MC's personality is not shown that much, though it seems like its getting fleshed out bit by bit so all in all I'm excited to see where the story goes

The Start of the story is pretty generic but as time goes on it gets way better. The main character gets powerful not because for some reason he got a game breaking system but because he was a information broker. As of the last chapter I read which is 47 he is powerful but not broken it feels good to read something where the mc isn't just given stuff and earns them. In conclusion I recommend it.

Overall super good so far, typically I don't like the rebirth with all knowledge tropes but so far this is done well. (hopefully the MC isnt all knowing like in some other novels of this types.) overall I'm glad I gave it a shot and I'm excited to see where the journey leads.
