Out of Frost and Fire

The stories that are remembered from the mythic history of the Norse were of the gods. Few mortals made it into these tales. When Ragnarök came, it was mortals that suffered most. Their world was destroyed, and most froze to death in the long winters, or were burned to ash by the sword of Surtr. Those that lived fought to survive in the chaotic aftermath of the end of days.
