The secret police play their bloody games to rest power from their leader, The universe plays it’s hand in the form of the Being Scorpio who guides our protagonist Peter Elworth and his fellow refugees through the labyrinth of the inner-mind and the universe beyond.
With a host of characters and multiple converging threads, transformations, dirty politics and a car chase this story bounds along with a relentless energy right up to the climatic finish.
A very satisfying read, I really enjoyed the pace and how it was not a predictable story. The characters are well drawn, as is the environment. The esoteric elements gave me pause to think. Above all, I enjoyed this book as it left me with questions to ponder while delivering a solid read.
Reads like a modern fairy tale, deep descriptions of place and characters. It really pulls you along from accident to incident a very satisfying read with a lot to digest after it all. Highly recommend!
