Mokami smiled as he sat at a table in the quiet cafe, looking around. The interior was slightly vintage and gave off an inviting atmosphere. It was the perfect place to have a first date – intimate enough so they wouldn't be disturbed, but with enough people to make her feel safe. He looked out the window at the sun setting over the cityscape, feeling excited for what was to come.

The waiters bustled through the room, taking orders and delivering drinks and snacks. Mokami watched them as they worked, admiring their efficiency. The place had a certain charm about it that seemed timeless – like it would remain the same for decades more.

He ordered some tea with a few snacks and sweets to pass the time until the girl she expected arrived. He sipped his tea slowly and savored the sweet taste of it on his tongue before he nibbled away at the snacks he ordered. There were a few other people sitting alone at tables nearby; some appeared lost in thought while others typed away on their laptops or read books in silence.

Everyone seemed focused on their own little worlds; oblivious to each other but still connected by this momentary pause in time they shared.

He felt calm yet alert as he waited; time seemed to move slower here than outside in the hustle of everyday life, making his anticipation all that much stronger as he envisioned the girl's arrival. When she finally arrived, a smile blossomed on his face.

"Hey, Toru-chan, I am glad to see you." Mokami smiled as he looked at the beauty in front of him. Although he saw Toru many times, none of them was like this. She would usually ignore how she looked, as no one could see her. Her hair would be a mess, but today, her hair was combed beautifully, bringing out her natural charm even more.

"I am glad you can see me too." She smiled at her joke, as she sat across her. "Moka-chan, you gave me another lease on life. For years, I dreamed of the day I see myself. I wanted to know how I looked. I know it sounds silly, but I always knew I was cute, but I still wanted to see. Now, I do. So, thank you."

Mokami reached his arms across the table and grasped Toru's hands. She smiled as he embraced her, feeling his warmth. "No thanks needed," he said, "You are most welcome."

They talked some more about school and Toru's family. Her mother has a weak Quirk that allowed her to change her skin to mirror and reflect the light, while her father could change his skin color. Both were civilians with good-paying jobs. Toru was the first in the family who wanted to become a hero, but her parents supported her in her dream.

Mokami then talked about his own family. He said his father was always working abroad and they haven't seen him for years. His mother, Mika, was the sweetest woman he could ask for and always did her best to raise him, Momo, and their little sister, Eri. Their neighbor and now housemate, Eire worked with his mother and was also a very kind woman. Nejire, her daughter was also studying in Yuuei and was doing her internship with Ryuuku. They all shared a bond that made them like a family even if they weren't related by blood.

"Wait, wait! Nejire-Senpai lives with you?" Toru asked with starts beaming out of her eyes.

"You know her?" He asked then realized how stupid his question was. Nejire was one of the big three in the school and in the last two Yuuei Festivals, she would always fight in the finals. She was also working with the famous Ryuuku and would appear on TV often. As a strong and beautiful heroine, she was the role model for many aspiring students.

"I do. I do!" Toru nodded, "Can you introduce me to her? Please! Please!"

"Why don't you come over to our house for dinner this weekend then?" He asked.

Toru was taken aback and blushed as she heard Mokami's offer. She was so excited to meet Nejire and have dinner with her, but at the same time, she was also nervous. Going over to dinner and meeting Mokami's mother sounded like meeting your boyfriend's parents, which made her super embarrassed but she also wanted to go and see Mokami's house and if possible his room.

Mokami chuckled at her expression before adding "Don't worry! I will be there too! You can think of it as a practice date or something." He wiggled his eyebrows while Toru went deeper in embarrassment, making both laugh loudly.

Mokami continued to talk about what he does in his free time; reading novels, studying, and watching movies. He said he loved cooking for important occasions and Toru could look forward to some home-cooked food. Toru became more anxious as she heard the details of their small family gathering which seemed more like a date than an informal invitation from a friend.

"I'll have you picked up on Saturday evening then? We can eat dinner and then sit together." He said joyfully as if he could read Toru's mind.

Toru gulped as reality hit her hard. She really did agree to go out with Mokami; after all, he asked her out on a date in a way! She smiled widely nonetheless, grateful that someone like him would ask her out on a date even though it hasn't been long since they met. Even though she was nervous at this new development, she felt happy and excited too - hopeful that something special might come up between them during this outing!

The two sat a bit longer and talked about their dreams, past, and favorite heroes. Mokami shared with Toru stories of his family's history, how his grandfather made the fortune and worked with the greatest mind in I-Island, how her mother created her own company and became a strong independent woman.

After hours of talking and laughing, the two realized that dinner time was long gone but they were still at the same spot.

Toru shared that she had dreamed of becoming a hero since she was little, and wanted to use her powers for good.

Their conversation flowed naturally as they talked about all sorts of things, from school subjects they liked the least -Science for Mokami and Maths for Toru- to how excited they were for the upcoming Yuuei Sports Festival. Even though the date wasn't long, it felt like an eternity as neither wanted the night to end yet; both were having too much fun!

Eventually, Mokami looked at his watch and realized it was getting late. He said she needed to get going so she could arrive home before her mother got worried. Even if reluctant, Toru knew it was time for her too. Although her parents weren't strict, she would rather not test their limits.

At the door of the cafe, a limo was waiting. Mokami walked her to the door and opened it for him. Toru looked at him strangely, but he smiled and leaned for a kiss. Luckily, Toru kissed back so it didn't turn into anything awkward.

"They will drop you at home." He whispered and she reluctantly nodded. As she sat in the car, he pulled out a gift box and handed it to her. "Please wait until you reach home and then open it."

"Thank you, Moka-chan. I really enjoyed it." Toru smiled brightly. Every emotion on her face was genuine and pure. She couldn't practice her expressions as even she couldn't see herself. That is why seeing her smiling so blindingly, Mokami felt his heart skip a beat.

"Not as much as I did." He smiled back and closed the door. The limo took off and soon, vanished from his sight.
