Battle's for a crown (9)

''Thud, Thud, Thud, a young man continued to hit the already lifeless body of a French knight. The young man's face was covered by a mask adorned with an iron crown. His face presented beautiful features that were, however, ruined by the mud present there and along his curly blonde hair. The man in question was the king of Sicily, Conradin, who in the meantime continued hitting with the hilt of the sword an already dead man. Conradin stood over him as he continued to hit until his breath allowed. The sound of Conradin's heavy breathing echoed through the empty battlefield as he relentlessly struck the motionless knight. The intensity in his eyes revealed a deep-seated anger and frustration that seemed to consume him, unaware of the futile nature of his actions.

Conradin's actions had revealed a primal side, a thirst for vengeance and brutality that had overridden his regal demeanor.
