Chapter 15 - Lighting Demon – Part 2

Feeling a sharp pain in my chest, realizing I had forgotten about everything and everyone in my rage and confusion over my loss of Sean. Again, I never even properly heard his last words.

"What if the others are here also?"

Lost in my own grief and sorrow, I never took his words to heart. Here I have one of my best friends crying, and I can't imagine the kind of life she has had in this world.

I place a hand over her head and tell her it's going to be okay, and even make a light joke, stating, "I guess you can't escape the orange hair, can you?"

A smile cracks on her face as she wipes her tears away. She says, "Shut up, you idiot! It's technically a coat, and I could just shave it off if you hate it."

"No, no. That won't be needed. It suits you well, to be honest. And perhaps if we had more time to talk, I would have noti—"
