Plan Of Border City Assault

"I see,... very well, we going to make our move in this instance," Ryker replied through the Communication Token before looking at Ina.

"Called our troops, we are beginning our part of the plan,"

"So, why do you think we are being called this early?" the young master of Hisul Family asked.

"It maybe ipabout our involvement in the plan of the Baron," the young mistress of Miri Family replied. The two then turned towards the two closest person to their commanding officer.

"Shuri, what do you think? You are the closest one to our leader," the young mistress of Miri Family asked.

"Waah? Oh, sorry. Well, he told me that we only make a move when the enemies are retreating from the Barony, so that likely happen or we will not be mobilizing this instance," she answered as they reached the end of the corridor.

As they entered the main hall, they could see every single member of the elite groups had been mobilized, all armed and ready for their task.

"Good evening everyone," Ryker greeted the elites of the Barony with a calm face.

"Today is the start of our part in the Baron's plan. Our objective is to secure their enemies path of retreat. In other words, we are going to capture the border city," the map of the border city was soon taken out and put in next to him, allowing every troops to be able to see it.

"The Barony had already begin the process of kicking out the invaders. Now, we are going to make sure they will not get out of here alive," he took a long stick before pointing at the entrance.

"As if now, we have confirmed the presence of a single Genesis Source expert, along with 13 Genesis Core experts in the city. A closer observation revealed that the Genesis Source expert is at the 2nd Stage, while the Genesis Core experts varied, though the strongest is only at the 8th Stage.

We are going to capture the city in three phases. Phase one is the elimination phase. We are going to cut the head of the snakes, the experts so they will not be able to rally under their command.

For this, I'm going to lead Mashia and the elites of our groups to hunt them down while the reminder of the group will cause a distraction.

After the elimination of most of the elites, in case some manage to get away, the second phase will be massacre. We cannot let any of the people alive or they will send messages to their retreating armies, which could be bad for us.

So, make sure to kill everyone, or capture them the very less. But whatever you decided to choose, make sure none of them could deliver as message to the armies on the field.

The third and final phase is control. We are going to control the border city and at the same time, try to fool them into thinking the city is still under their control. If not, they will chose a more dangerous but at least not a trap route.

Control phase is about making sure all the formations and anything else is the exact same way as the Esel Barony left them. If there is any formation ruined in the fight, we will repair it. If there is a part of the wall blown to bits, we are going to repair.

Any question," seeing how the soldiers in front of him went silent, while still paying him the utmost attention, Ryker took it as no.

"Good, leaders of each squad and companies, go to the meeting room for a more personal debrief," the leaders soon left the hall, heading straight towards the meeting room as they are commanded.

As the soldiers dispersed, the four young master and mistress are talking about what they just heard.

"To think our part of the plan is to essentially trap our enemies," Solance said with a shock look.

"Make sense in a way," seeing others looking at him in surprise, she elaborate, "the higher-ups clearly did not want tpour enemies to be able to gather strength, licking their wounds from the defeat before coming back for more.

So, they wanted to cripple the force of our enemies so they will not even dare to do such thing," her explanation, are sense to the other three, understanding the reasoning of the higher-ups. After all, why not just squash a potential rat than turning them into a much larger problem than they are before?

As the leaders of squads and companies left the meeting room, Ryker pondered the next course of action. Aside from capturing the border city, the Baron also ordered him to learn of anything of interest, and left some nasty surprises for the retreating armies.

While he could not do anything of the former, for the latter, he could brainstorm even if he could not do it just yet.

Most of his ideas hinged around formation, creating as many killing formations as possible with the addition of illusion formation, which will give them more opportunities to destroy the enemy forces.

Thankfully, he also brought some Formation Specialist to help him in the making of a large traps, so he send a quick message, ordering them to brainstorm.

After he was done with that, he decided to take another closer look into the border city, hoping to learn of anything new that can be of use for Mariz Barony.

Using the Shadow Traversing Step, he easily bypass the patrols, even passing the Genesis Core expert making their rounds on top of him. He soon stopped near the walls, sensing the various defensive formation around the city, knowing he would be exposed if he get any closer to it.

Still, while he could not enter the city, he could still used his Soul Sense to detect the presence of the people inside the city. If for some reason they used their qi, he could even hope to learn of their cultivation realm.

As he scanned the periphery of the city, he soon stopped, sensing something that will throw off the plan if something is not done about it.

"Looks like I need to make some other preparation as well,"
