Chapter 5: The plot begins

Sam stepped out of his dad's car, his feet hitting the cracked asphalt of Bobby Bolivia's car dealership. He stretched his arms and glanced around the lot, taking in the rows of dusty, used cars. Bobby Bolivia, the owner, walked over with a wide grin plastered on his face, his hands clapping together as if he'd been eagerly waiting for this moment all day.

"Well, well, well! welcome to Bobby Bolivia's dealership!, I'm Bobby " Bobby exclaimed, extending his hand toward Sam's father, Ron. "What can I do for ya today? Lookin' to drive away with somethin' special?"

Ron shook Bobby's hand with a friendly chuckle. "We're here to get my son his first car. Something reliable, not too fancy. You know how it goes—something he can learn to work on."

Sam nodded, feigning the same casual interest his dad had. In truth, he already knew what he wanted. He could feel something—or rather, someone—was watching him. He had been carefully preparing for this moment for months, ever since he realized he was being monitored by both Barricade and Bumblebee. But he had played his part well, pretending to be none the wiser.

As Bobby began leading them around the lot, showing off the various cars he had for sale, Sam's eyes were scanning the lot, looking for one car in particular. As Bobby led them inside the dealership lot, Sam remained alert, keeping his cool as he pretended to be interested in some of the cars they were passing. Bobby was jabbering on about price tags, engines, and "a real steal" he had in the back, but Sam's attention was immediately drawn when, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the familiar yellow Camaro rolling into the dealership. It was subtle, quiet even, as it parked itself amidst the other cars on display, almost like it was just another part of the scenery. It was old but had an undeniable charm, with black racing stripes that ran along the body, giving it a sense of quiet power. Sam's heartbeat quickened, knowing exactly what this meant.

"That's the one," Sam said, pointing toward the Camaro as he interrupted whatever sales pitch Bobby was trying to make.

His dad looked at him, confused. "What? You want that one? It's... a little beat-up, don't you think?"

Bobby, who had been in the middle of showcasing an old Toyota, stopped and turned to face the Camaro as well. His face momentarily showed a flicker of confusion. He hadn't brought this car in. He didn't even know it was part of his inventory. But ever the salesman, he quickly hid his surprise and plastered his grin back on.

"Oh! This one? Ha! Uh... right! This here's a real... classic. Came in just today," Bobby improvised, unsure of the car's origins but deciding to roll with it. "Tell you what, I'll give you a great deal on it."

"How much?" Ron asked, crossing his arms, already bracing for a negotiation.

Bobby scratched his head, glancing between Ron and the Camaro as if pulling a number out of thin air. "Five thousand dollars, but for you folks, I'll throw in a discount. Call it... four thousand, cash."

Ron frowned, knowing that any discount Bobby offered was likely inflated in the first place. "How about three thousand?"

Sam, who was already halfway to the Camaro, turned back, listening to his dad and Bobby haggling over the price. He smiled to himself, knowing his dad had this part covered. He approached the Camaro, the door still unlocked, Sam couldn't resist sliding into the driver's seat of the Camaro. The leather felt worn but comfortable, and as his hands wrapped around the steering wheel, he smiled, and as his hands gripped the steering wheel, a rush of electricity coursed through him, like some invisible bond forming between him and the car.

back to the mean still haggling Bobby flinched at the counteroffer, rubbing his chin as if it pained him. "Oh, come on now! You're killin' me here! This car's worth more than I'm asking, but... fine. You seem like good folks. Let's say three thousand five hundred, and it's yours."

Sam's dad looked at him , raising an eyebrow. "What do you think, Sam?"

"I want this one," Sam replied, his voice steady while he was sitting in the Camaro.

Ron sighed but smiled, knowing his son was resolute. "Alright. Three thousand five hundred it is."

As the two men finalized the deal, Sam still sitting in the car whispers softly "We're going to be great friends, buddy," feeling the hum of energy in the air.

Almost immediately, the radio crackled to life, switching stations quickly before settling on one, a voice echoing, "Yes, indeed."

Sam chuckled. Bumblebee was already trying to communicate, even in this subtle way, but he remained outwardly calm. He knew exactly who he was dealing with—Bumblebee, the Autobot scout. But for now, he'd keep playing the role of the oblivious teenager.

After the papers were signed and the deal was done, Sam followed his dad home, driving the Camaro behind his father's car. The engine purred smoothly, and when they arrived home, Sam parked Bumblebee carefully in the garage, stepping out and taking a long look at the car. His dad smiled at him, proud of his son for his practical choice.

"Well, kiddo, I'm proud of you. You didn't go for anything flashy, just something you can work on yourself."

Sam nodded, smiling at his dad. "Yeah, thanks, Dad. I think this car and I will get along just fine, and I think I'm gonna start working on it right away."

"Alright, I'll leave you to it," Ron said, ruffling Sam's hair before heading back into the house. "Just don't stay out here all night. Dinner's in an hour."

Once the garage door closed, Sam turned his attention back to Bumblebee, feeling a surge of excitement. "Alright, Alfred, you there?"

Alfred's voice came through clearly. "Always, sir. Shall I scan the vehicle?"

Sam leaned back against his workbench, watching as a holographic screen projected in front of him, displaying the scanned data of Bumblebee's vehicle form. Alfred's advanced programming allowed him to analyze every detail, from the armor plating to the weapons systems hidden within the frame.

"Interesting," Alfred remarked. "This vehicle is far more advanced than its appearance suggests."

"Yeah, no kidding," Sam said, his eyes scanning the schematic. "We need to come up with some upgrades, though. I've been thinking about a few modifications to improve its functionality. We'll need to keep it subtle, though. Can't go around drawing too much attention."

Alfred's voice was as calm and professional as ever. "I must say, sir, this technology is highly advanced."

Sam chuckled. "Yeah, but that makes things more fun."

earlier at the dealership....

Bumblebee's (POV)

I parked at the dealership, keeping my movements subtle, watching as the young sparkling Sam and his father walked around the lot . I had to blend in, remain unnoticed. The other Autobots were still waiting in space and would arrive to earth soon, and I had my orders to protect the young sparkling Sam Witwicky.

as i rolled into the dealership and parked next to a few other vehicles it seemed that the young sparkling noticed me as he pointed at me and then approached me.

As Sam sat down on my seats I felt a strange connection when he placed his hands on my steering wheel. I couldn't explain it, but it was as if he already knew me, knew who I was. When he spoke to me, it felt genuine. "We're going to be best friends, buddy."

I couldn't help but respond through the radio, my way of communicating for now. "Yes, indeed."

I thought that would be the extent of our interaction for the day, but as we returned to his home and parked in the garage, I witnessed something that left me stunned. Sam had an artificial intelligence, a highly advanced one, scanning me. I could see the data flashing across the holographic screen they were using, and the way Sam and the AI, Alfred, were discussing potential improvements to my vehicle mode—it was far beyond what humans should be capable of.

As they bounced ideas back and forth, I remained calm and , listened in silent shock. as i was not prepared for the young sparkling to start working on my vehicle form, but this was beyond anything I had expected.

The AI—Alfred, as Sam called it—was unlike anything I had ever encountered. The holographic screen, the way Sam casually discussed advanced technological concepts... it was almost as if Sam was already far beyond the normal humans I had observed over the years.

Who is this young sparkling ? Bumblebee thought to himself. He was chosen to protect Sam because of the information that connects Sam to the All Spark,(in regards to the location of the all spark) but now, after hearing this conversation, Bumblebee realized there was much more to this boy than meets the eye. His technology was far more advanced than anything Bumblebee had encountered on Earth.

Still, I couldn't help but feel a strange sense of kinship with Sam. When Sam had touched my steering wheel earlier, there had been a flicker of connection, something almost... familiar. It felt like i had always been the young sparkling's protector, and in that moment, It felt like I was more than just someone who just was meant to watch over him.

As Sam continued discussing upgrades with Alfred, I crackled t my radio to life again, briefly catching a station that played a song with the words, "I got your back."

Sam grinned knowingly but didn't acknowledge the message aloud. Instead, he leaned over the my hood , tapping it lightly.

"Don't worry, buddy. We'll get you in top shape and you'll look good as new."

I listened carefully, my thoughts whirling. There was no doubt now this young sparkling was special.

But what Bumblebee didn't know was that Sam already knew what was coming. And Bumblebee was going to have to figure out how to keep up with this extraordinary young man.

As Sam and Alfred continued planning, Bumblebee quietly observed, both impressed and concerned. He had found his human, but it seemed his human was far more than just a teenager.

And so, as night began to fall and the garage lights dimmed, Bumblebee made a silent vow to himself. No matter what was coming, no matter how dangerous it would be, he would protect the young sparkling with everything he had.

After all, he was his protector.
