Synopsis

Three years ago, she was cruelly abandoned by the man she loved deeply, leaving her to walk down the aisle alone while heavily pregnant. Three years later, she reappears transformed, stunningly beautiful, and says with a smile, "Husband? I don't need a husband." The man behind her narrows his eyes, his thin lips turning into cold blades, "Qin Yan, try saying that again?"

This novel falls under the angst genre, which is personally not to my taste. The female lead (FL), despite her intelligence, continually forgives the male lead (ML), even after multiple attempts on her life. I found this aspect frustrating and disappointing, as it undermined her otherwise strong character. However, for readers who enjoy emotionally intense stories filled with conflict and pain, this novel might be worth exploring.

giving story development and character design one star because there is literally no story or character development even after 300 chapters. this is an emotional abuse story and 350+ chapters the FL has still not left the ML. I don't think i can wait for ML to remember his lost memories and try to redeem himself. this is one of the worst romance out there. it's pure torture. there is no change or improvements in any character or story. total waste of money.

Okay, I could only stomach through to Chapter 4. And this I only did to make sure the baby was okay. I would never be able to forgive what he did!! I would have him arrested for attempted murder!!

Fl always plays victim which is disgusting. I won’t recommend this story. Not my type of story.

If I could give this book no stars, I would. The ML is abusive to the FL and his daughter; I’m so over these storylines wherein sexual, mental, and physical assault is okay. What’s worse is the author has them reconciled due to some flimsy “reason”. There are blended families in which the woman leaves the scumbag husband and finds happiness elsewhere with a loving stepfather. Why promote a female must stay with the sperm donor who’s horrible? We live in a time of feminism, so the tales should reflect as such rather than endorse toxic relationships for the sake of an archaic narrative.

even if the story is well written, I won't recommend it. FL is almost murdered by ML and they later come together after the misunderstanding between them are cleared is unacceptable behaviour.

Well, no matter what kind of misunderstanding there is between the characters, but ML shows himself to be a murderous bastard in the first chapter, who can calmly abuse a pregnant woman, spitting on the life of the child. FL is also not very smart, instead of providing the child with a gentle childhood, he feeds her lies and lives with an abuser. Well, in general, if there is no logic in the actions in the first chapters, it is scary to imagine what happens next... although what is there to imagine, in the end she will fall in love with a piece of trash 🫠 (in chapter 30, this bastard abandons the child at the police station and does not care, he calmly goes to eat)
