After unexpectedly crossing over into the world of Pokémon, Maki found himself in a position where he could have lived a carefree life as a wealthy second-generation heir. Instead, he was forced to become an undercover agent for the Pokémon League.

Maki looked at the Elite Four member in front of him with sincere eyes and said, “There’s a secret I’ve never told you. Actually... I’m a Team Rocket spy.”

The Elite Four member Lance paused for a moment before slapping Maki on the back of the head.
