I felt cold... Yet I didn't... Like my presence itself knew I should be cold, yet I was in a state incapable of truly feeling it. It was an odd situation. Looking at my hands, or where they were supposed to be I found myself wondering as I saw nothing. A phantom feeling indicated there was something, but nothing existed. Was it too dark in this place to even see my hands, or did they not truly exist. The thought was mind boggling. In fact, now that I was conscious enough to think about it. Just where in the world was I right now. I don't remember walking into a void. In fact, the last thing I remember was...
Then it hit me, just like some truck did moments ago.
My Death...
I freeze. Unsure of what to do. I always wondered what death would be like and honestly, I'm just feeling more confused at this point. Was this supposed to be limbo? That place where no life or death exists a state in-between. Where you exist, but you don't...
"My, my, what a smart child."
"Who's there" I scream in "Manly" fear. I hadn't expected a voice to appear out of nowhere. Not when I was just coming to accept my situation. Then again, maybe I should have. Who says you can predict how death works in any form or fashion without having to go through it at least once. Still...
"Chance is my name dear."
"Chance?" I found myself muttering to myself. Honestly, not who I was expecting. Maybe I was thinking of lady Death coming for me...
"Yes child, Chance. I was born from fate, my mother. For when something may happen outside of fate and her control. She gave to me, chance. I decide those lives with the proverbial roll of a dice. Well, you see I've grown interested in your life as well."
It seems that death didn't seem to exist. Interesting... "My life, how could that be? I don't mean to doubt you, but my life hasn't been sought out by really anyone before. Not with a singular pursuit of me at least." Sadly, that was honestly so true, and I knew it.
"That is exactly why I'm interested in you, child. For I wish to give you too a chance."
"A chance?" My mind freezing trying to figure out what she means.
"Yes, a fair chance at life. One where people seek you. Fate, my mother hasn't been the kindest to you in life having predetermined your first life. I'm here to give you a second. Free from any strings that controlled your first. Well to be exact, any physical strings. I won't change your mind in any form. So, you'll have to deal with those problems yourself. But I wish to give you a chance."
I stop and think. Every moment of my life playing out in my eyes. The people I had met, the pains I experienced. While they hurt me. I also wouldn't want to give them up. For it was your experiences that made you who you were. That was my belief above all else. I wouldn't appreciate true friends if I had never wanted them in any capacity. I'd likely just end up as another person that pushed their friends away.
"If per say I accept this offer for help. Just what will you do?"
"It's simple dear, we'll play a game of life. I am a goddess of chance, so we'll play with that in mind. We'll also base it on those games you loved so much. RPGs are a great design for stuff like this, but I think I'll add my own twist to it. Tell me what you think!!!" The higher pitch at the end had me looking forwards to the screen that would pop up.

INVENTORY!!!
The RPG stats was interesting. There were a lot of variations. But considering they were going to be based on my abilities in life. It made sense that there were more than just five or six of them. Life wasn't a game in a normal sense of the word. Honestly thinking about it I felt a smile cross my face as I couldn't help but shout the thought on the tip of my lungs.
"You Get it!!! Life would have so many more interesting things happening when there's more things to keep track of!" The smile that I could feel from the entity seemed to agree with me in some form.
"And that's just one more reason I like you! Now then I'll be spinning a wheel to send you to a random world. I'll warn you that your place in that world will be random. A destined predictable result would be from my mother. So, I'll apologize if I can't guarantee wherever you want to go in particular."
"It's fine," I smile and mutter to myself... "Honestly you're doing more for me than anyone else even tried. To choose me out of who knows how many and give me this bit of time is more than enough. Honestly, its humbling."
Another voice seemed to echo in agreement at the sentiment.
An older mature woman's voice rang out. "It seems you're sincere, since that's the case I'll guarantee you go to the Pokémon world if my daughter agrees! I know it's been one of your biggest dreams for a long time."
"MOOOOOOMMMM!!!! This was supposed to be myyyyyyy champion. NO Takesies!!!!"
The echo from the older woman responded with a bit of Myrth in its voice to the younger woman's sentence. "He will be as long as you want. I'm just offering my help for someone that's actually sincere towards my little girl!!!"
"So, you want me as your champion in this world?" I ask deciding to get the question in the air through my amusement. It seems family was the same no matter your race. I'd loved mine, even with our difficulties.
"If you're willing of course! Since you've been given this chance, I'll also give you the chance to be my champion if you choose. Your heart is one I can approve of."
And wasn't that humbling. "Then I have no reason to disagree," I answered with a smile.
"Then its decided! You'll be my champion, and I always want the best for my champions, so Mommmm. Would you please send my newest servant to one of your Pokémon worlds?"
"I'd be glad to." With that, the mood seemed to calm down and lighten just a bit further.
"Now, I have something important to discuss with you. Since you'll be going to this world, and superpowers is semi-common there. We need to get a grasp on how you'll end up. First off, all of your game stats will be rolled for with a 20-sided dice. SOU was an exception as that is how strong your soul was at its base value. As a bonus for becoming my champion I'll send part of my power into you boosting that to 20. For the other stats, however. It'll truly be your luck. (I'm actually Rolling for these stats. The Author here.) Part of your status will only exist once you're born. You'll be living another life in this new world, and you'll need a bit of help getting settled in. Don't worry, you'll keep your memories, but I'll give you a fair warning. Some things will be awkward for you as you'll be stuck in a younger body. While you'll keep your memories, we'll lock them away until you turn 6. We figure that'll be a good time for you to start preparing for your future while avoiding most embarrassing problems with being a baby, baby. So, go ahead and roll your dice and we'll go from there."

"They're really appreciated. The coin is also really beautiful." An image of the coin appeared on the screen listed below in my inventory. "Is there anything else I need to know or anything you all want to talk about?"
"Maybe later. For now, I want to let you get adapted to the life you'll be taking on. I'll contact you later when I feel you're ready. So don't feel in a rush and deal with life as it comes first."
With a smile on my face, I feel myself falling asleep. Lighter at heart than I had been in years. Honestly, I was looking forwards to this journey. I wondered where it would take me, and just what my story would be like.
