I'm A Girl?

I awoke with a flood of memories some new, some old. Years of memories crammed together following actions of playing dress up, drawing pictures, pretending to make food, and most recently learning about different Pokémon. I also quite liked Rhydon outside our house. I was just a couple weeks away from planning my trip for a summer camp, and while all of these memories were certainly a challenge to get used to. The main thing I worried about was a certain physical sensation I had. A certain void in my lower areas. Pressing down slightly at this certain area I confirmed something...

"I'M A GIRL!!!" The scream bounced around with my new high-pitched voice. I heard a sound stir in the middle of my freaking out. Making me remember that I wasn't alone anymore. I had just unfortunately awoken my "Mother." She most definitely was not happy with me right now... The stirring of a bird in the corner of my room also indicated one very annoyed Pokémon.

First calming down the Fletchling and apologizing. It took a few additional moments for the woman to arrive, but eventually a voice came through the closed door to my room. "You OK, sweety?" The sweet motherly voice of my new mom drifted into my room. After being awoken at an ungodly unknown hour. The woman put away any annoyance and asked if I was OK, first. It was new for me, yet so familiar. A different level of care. One I hadn't seen since I was a child previously. A duality of experiences I wasn't sure how to feel about. Two memories. Two different reactions I should be having to the situation at hand.

"FLETCHLING!!!!" Another scream came from across the room from the bird in a synthetic nest of some sort noticing only now that it wasn't a real nest. The creature confirmed my wellness to my mom and seemed to complain a little with no real heat to it. It was in this situation that I was able to hear the creatures care and worry for me. A Bird, cared for me more than the average person in my old life. Maybe I should have been sad at that fact, but I honestly couldn't care.

Feeling embarrassed and freaking out slightly I stayed true to the new memories trying to ease myself in. "Yes mom, I just had a nightmare. Please don't worry!!! I'm so sorry for waking you up!!!" The sigh that came from the other side told me she forgave me and wasn't as worried now.

"It's fine sweety, as long as your OK. Just try not to keep Fletchling up all night. OK, dear? Also remember if you need to use your night light. Use your little Vulpix light in your drawer. I already replaced the batteries in it and its ready to go if you need it, OK? I know you wanted to be a big girl but use it if you feel like you need it any tonight!"

"Thanks mom, I will." the response came out of my mouth instinctively. It seemed even my body was used to the woman. Still, I'd need to get used to this. Another example of this was followed. Looking down at my body, I poked my chest a little too hard and flinched in pain. OK, definitely don't poke myself that hard from now on. Other than that, thought I found myself confused on what to do. I guess I should sleep and prepare for the morning? It's just that I also needed to go over all the new memories in my mind... I also can't muster up a feeling of tiredness with all the things that had just happened back-to-back.

Laying back on the bed I messed with my new long hair. Twirling it around I found it... kind of relaxing? A little bit at least. Going over my memories my new name came to mind. Serena... Wait a second... Looking at my hair pulling it in front of me and seeing blond I feel myself needing to know something for sure. I needed to confirm my identity and see if it's the one from the show. I sneak my way towards the bathroom after making sure my mother was asleep again, and that I wasn't bothering Fletchling. I needed to take a full look at myself in a mirror.

Stepping into the bathroom I close the door carefully making sure it's locked. Looking at the door where a full body mirror resides on, I stare at the girl in that mirror. It's easy to make out who I was supposed to be. It was true. I was Serena. THE Serena from Pokémon X and Y. Winner and absolute dominator when it came to Pokémon contests.

"Well, this makes things interesting," I mutter to myself. Laughing just a bit awkwardly at my situation. I honestly didn't know what to make of it. Deciding to get it over with I once again call upon "Status."

Clicking on one of the plus signs something interesting pops up.

Notice: Spend 50 points to upgrade INS: Instinct to 5. Y/N.

Clicking Accept I watch 50 Chance points get subtracted and my new INS become 5. Instantly I feel calmer somehow. Like I'm slightly surer of my surroundings. "This is really cool," I couldn't help but smile. Clicking on other plus signs next to skills, boosts, and items, I have three separate lists pop up with various things I could buy with various point costs. I also see a gacha in each section, which unfortunately needs tickets. I'm sure that my chance-based skills that increased the odds of my success would be a perfect combination for those.

Also, from the way the system was set up; it seems I can improve my stats infinitely and grow in various ways. Closing the three lists I then click on the plus signs of my End, AGI, STR, and SOU. For END I needed 100 Points to increase the stat by 1. For AGI I needed 200, STR needs 400 and SOU needs 1000. It seems every 5 in a stat increased it by a tier. The costs as such went drastically higher when it did. Looking at my 19 in CHA. I figured that would probably be the next thing I should buy. I'd need all the Charisma I could get in a world where you would need to constantly befriend creatures to fight for you. I also tested my strength lifting things around the bathroom and confirmed that 10 in a stat was most likely average human status for this world. It seems that I was a monstrously strong 6-year-old. I'd likely find uses for that soon in daily life.

As amusing as these thoughts were, I grew curious on how to get more points. Thinking of trying to ask Chance or the system in some way I find a pop up appearing within moments in front of me.

Notice: Host may ask the system or Chance for Quests. By doing so different outcomes occur. The system will generate tasks befitting either the host's growth or growth of the knowledge of Chance automatically when you ask... Chance on the other hand may choose to ignore the askance if they are busy dealing with something else. These tasks upon completion award either gacha tickets, chance points, or chance related items.

Well, that explained itself nicely for me. It seems the system I received wasn't some half put together concept. It actually had basic guidelines in place for various questions I might need to know. Unlike some systems that existed in fiction, asking questions and never actually having them answered.

Now the only thing left to cover is the stats. I know what most of these stats mean having played games for a long time, such as STR being strength. What I really wanted to see however was if anything was different about them than what I should know. Now that these stats governed my life. I needed to know fully what they entailed and covered. I didn't want them messing with my mind or body in a bad way that I couldn't figure out just because I left the stat too low.

Thankfully another pop up appeared for my question shortly.

CHA: Charisma- How attractive you look, act, and portray yourself to be. This also affects your fashion judgement.

SOU: Soul- The purity and strength of your soul. Increases your willpower and allows you to stay true to yourself.

Everything seemed simple enough, still further experiments would need to be done by myself. I fully understood my new powers in a basic sense of the word now though. Taking one final look in the mirror at my new life. Ignoring any burning thoughts in my mind about how I was supposed to deal with all this... I made my way back to my room to sleep for the night. I had done enough thinking and learning for now, and honestly my body was starting to get tired. Wishing Fletchling in the corner of my room good night coming back in quietly. I drifted off to sleep, forgetting all about the night light that was supposed to be in my drawer. Not that I really needed it.
