A coming of age tale as old as the wild west.
Taken from her father and her people, a young Sioux girl tries to adapt to life among the people of her mother, the 'white eyes'. Bitter, resentful, untrusting, Kimimela finds herself alone in a world where there seems to be no place for her, a half breed child of a warrior and a white woman. As she grows, is there a choice? When the opportunity arises, and she comes of age, will she return to the land of her father's people, or stay with the new life she's tried to build among the whites?
