C4 Adrian

Johnson rushed out of his room screaming at the top of his voice

"Edward! Edward! Where are you? " Immediately Edward heard his name and he ran as fast as he could.

"You called for me, master ", he responded.

Johnson held him by his hands like a little child and took him into his room. Edwards was a bit lost on the gesture but decided to remain silent and follow Johnson

Edward, on getting close to the chest, saw it wide open and then his brain triggered, sensing something was wrong.

"It was safe in the chest before I was admitted into the hospital; there is a thief among us ", Johnson stated.

Edward was alarmed but he was still trying to be logical

"Let's keep these between us, sir, and I will carry out a little investigation; if the suspect is among us, he will be caught", he assured Johnson.

Johnson then stated that whoever stole the diamond ring had to be someone close to him who had access to his room. Most likely a family member.

"They wouldn't dare," he thought out loud.

Johnson then told Edward that they would work together to reveal the culprit but he didn't tell him that he was suspecting a family member.

He dismissed Edward with a look of worry on his face. His eyes became bloodshot red, and his face held a slight frown. All he could think about was who could have done this.

As Edward was heading downstairs back to his duties, he walked past Elizabeth who could see a worried look on his face, as he didn't even recognize her by offering a greeting.

"Seems like you lack manners and forget your place, Edward?" She said. Edward immediately apologized.

"I'm so sorry, ma I didn't notice you, ma. Good morning to you " he greeted.

"Keep your greetings to yourself" was the response he got from Elizabeth.

Elizabeth then instructed him to have her meal brought to her room as she wanted to eat alone.

She couldn't help but notice that Edward was far from normal this morning, she shrugged and went about her business.

In a few hours, Barbara returned home and noticed that there was a festive mood in the house.

This wasn't the reaction she was expecting so she was a bit surprised.

She imagined that the house would look like an investigative ground with the police asking questions about Johnson's stolen ring.

Yes! She was the one who stole her grandfather's diamond ring.

When they had all left for the hospital, Barbara returned home and sneaked into Johnson's room, she was the only one who knew his password.

Barbara discovered his password without his notice when he opened the door, thinking no one was watching, but she saw him put it from a distance.

He just wasn't aware she was close; since then, Barbara has always looked for an opportunity to go into his room out of sheer curiosity.

Eventually, her chance came when he was admitted to the hospital, she went into his room and after admiring all that was in it,

She came across the chest and opened it, the brightness of the diamond ring made her cover her face.

"Wow, this must cost a fortune " I bet that I can make a lot if I trade off this diamond ring", she thought, but then that wasn't really her aim.

Barbara was looking for a way to frame Deborah and make her lose favour in the sight of their grandfather. She had to execute this plan to perfection.

Meanwhile at the University of Alber...

There was Deborah who was running late and trying to catch up with classes and also meet her Dean, Ronald Rice .As soon as she parked her car in the parking lot.

She then walked as fast as her legs could take her, holding a lot of files in her hands; as she tried to hasten her pace, something odd happened.

She tripped on her heels and fell down, only to pick up her files, and then she noticed a shiny black shoe just inches beside her files.

Deborah looked up to see a tall man about six feet, jet black hair, his figure was very domineering. His broad shoulders and slim body type were just the perfect combination. He then gently bent, and looked down on her, he said.

"You should watch where you are going, Miss "

Immediately the words came out of his mouth,

Deborah swallowed hard and then came to her senses almost immediately feigning anger

"You should be the one who should watch out for my files" she responded

Deborah then thought to herself that the man before her was handsome, but he also seemed to be very proud of himself.

The young man then stretched his hand offering to help her get up. But Deborah refused, acting all stubborn and independent.

"Suit yourself," the young man said nonchalantly.

"I am Adrian, what's your name ?"

When he introduced himself, she noticed that he didn't look like a student. Possibly in his early thirties and she wasn't wrong.

Adrian was 30 years of age and only came to the University of Alber to see his father Ronald who is also the Dean and Supervisor for Deborah's project.

Deborah rolled her eyes and then said to him "Do you think this is just like the movies?"

" I have a class and an appointment to catch up to, excuse me, Mr Adrian"

With those words, she took long strides trying to catch up and then left.

On getting to her department, Deborah noticed she was already an hour late for the class and didn't want to interrupt.

Oscar who could see her standing outside, ushered her to come in but she just rolled her hands demonstrating they would meet after the class

Deborah then decided to go to the Dean's office and catch up with him and also fill him in on what's been happening in her life as the Dean was also her friend.

As soon as she stepped into his office before she could greet him, he immediately hugged her and then said

"Hey Deborah, there's someone I would like you to meet; he's my son.

The young man was backing them and then turned to face his father and the young lady

Lo and Behold it was Adrian.
