After School – Time to Thank the Nerd
After the whole "falling asleep in class and getting saved by the nerd" situation, I figured I should at least say thanks.
And what better way to do that than free food?
So, after class, I casually leaned over to her desk.
"Oi. Wanna go to a café? My treat."
She froze.
Like I had just asked her to commit a crime.
Her hands clutched her book tighter. "W-W-What?"
I smirked. "Food. Café. You. Me. A thank-you for helping me out earlier."
Her face turned red instantly.

An Introvert and an Extrovert Walk Into a Café
Despite looking like she was about to die from secondhand embarrassment, she somehow managed to nod.
So we went to a quiet little café near the academy.
✔ She sat stiffly, barely touching her drink.
✔ I was relaxed as hell, sipping my tea.
✔ The atmosphere was… awkward.
I leaned forward, smirking. "You always this quiet?"
She flinched. "U-Um… I-I just don't talk to people much…"
I chuckled. "Yeah, I noticed. You're like the complete opposite of me."
She hesitated, then nodded. "Y-You're very… um… s-social."
"I prefer 'charming.'"
"A-Ah…" She hid behind her cup. "Y-Yes… c-charming… I-I suppose…"
I grinned. "See? You get it."
She turned even redder.
---
And Then I Accidentally Killed Her With Words
At some point, I asked—
"So, do you ever hang out with people, or am I your first?"
Silence.
Then—
Her entire face went crimson.
Her hands trembled.
She opened her mouth—but no words came out.
Then—
She collapsed onto the table.
I blinked.
I stared.
Then I said the only thing that made sense.
"…What the f*ck?"
---
Memory Hits – Oh. Right. That's a Thing.
As I panicked, my brain finally caught up.
In the game, there was a small trivia section about her.
✔ Super shy.
✔ Terrible with people.
✔ And if she gets flustered too much—
She literally gets a fever and passes out.
I stared at her, still collapsed on the table.
"…You've got to be f*cking kidding me."
---
Taking Responsibility (Apparently)
Since it was technically my fault she passed out, I couldn't just leave her there.
So, I sighed, paid for the drinks, and—
Carried her home.
She was light as hell, barely weighing anything.
I walked through the city, earning a few weird looks, but I ignored them.
Soon, I reached a small, quiet house on the edge of town.
I found her key, opened the door, and stepped inside.
---
Taking Care of the Shy Nerd
I set her down on her bed and checked her temperature.
Hot as hell.
I sighed. "Great. Now I have to babysit."
Since I wasn't a complete a**, I decided to make her some soup.
Luckily, I wasn't bad at cooking.
✔ Chopped the vegetables.
✔ Boiled the broth.
✔ Made sure the taste was perfect.
Before long, the smell of warm soup filled the house.
Just as I finished, I heard a small groan.
I turned around.
She was awake.

The Nerd Wakes Up – And She's Still Shy as Hell
She slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes.
Then she noticed me.
Then she noticed the soup.
Then—
Her face turned red again.
"W-W-WHAT?!"
I sighed. "Relax. You passed out, so I brought you home. Also, you need to eat."
She hid under her blanket. "I-I-I'm so sorry!"
I smirked. "For what? Having a weak immune system?
She let out a tiny whimper.
I chuckled, handing her the bowl. "Here. It's good. Try it."
She peeked out, hesitating.
Then, slowly, she took the bowl and sipped the soup.
Her eyes widened.
"I-It's… delicious…"
I grinned. "Told you. I'm a man of many talents."
---
As she ate, I casually asked—
"Where are your parents, anyway?"
She hesitated.
Then, softly, she answered—
"They… travel a lot. So I live alone."
I frowned. "So you're always by yourself?"
She nodded. "I-I'm used to it."
I sighed, leaning back. "Tch. No wonder you're like this."
She looked down. "I-I'm sorry…"
I rolled my eyes. "Why the hell are you apologizing?"
She flinched. "I-I don't know… I just… I…"
I sighed, ruffling my hair.
"Look, whatever. Just eat your soup."
She nodded quickly and went back to eating.
At least now I knew why she was so damn awkward.
She didn't hate people.
She just… never had anyone.

Final Thought – Looks Like I Have Another Problem Now
First, the princess.
Now, this shy nerd.
I sighed.
"I swear, I'm collecting side characters at this point."
The sword snickered. "I mean, at this rate, might as well start a damn harem."
I groaned. "Not happening.(I think?)"
But deep down—
I had a feeling I was stuck with this girl now.
Not that it was a bad thing.
But still.
This wasn't part of my original plan.
