Chapter 32 – Learning Magic Control From a Shy Nerd

Finally Asking About Magic Control

As she slowly ate her soup, I leaned back in my chair.

"So. Magic control."

She blinked. "E-Eh?"

I crossed my arms. "You seem like the type who knows everything about magic. How do I improve my control?"

Her face brightened slightly—like I had just activated her nerd mode.

She pushed up her glasses. "W-Well… Magic control is the ability to properly direct your mana without waste. Most people just brute force spells, but true mastery comes from precision."

I nodded. "Yeah, yeah. So how do I actually train it?"

She hesitated, then softly said—

"You have to… feel it first."

I raised an eyebrow. "Feel it?"

She nodded. "Mana is inside you. If you close your eyes and focus, you should be able to sense it flowing through your body."

I frowned. "That's it?"

She fidgeted. "W-Well… It's harder than it sounds…"

I sighed. "Fine. Let's try it."

Actually Feeling My Mana For the First Time

I closed my eyes.

At first, I felt nothing.

Just the usual silence.

But then—

Something shifted.

A faint, tingling sensation flowed through my body.

Like an invisible current running through my veins.

I focused on it.

And for the first time—I actually felt my mana.

I opened my eyes, exhaling. "Huh."

The nerd girl stared at me. "D-Did you… feel it?"

I smirked. "Yeah. That was weird as hell."

She gasped softly. "T-That's amazing…! Most people take weeks to even sense their mana…!"

I blinked. "Wait, seriously?"

She nodded rapidly.

I grinned. "Damn. Guess I'm just that talented."

She turned red and quickly looked away. "U-Um… y-you should practice moving it next…"

I chuckled. "Alright, alright. I'll work on it later."

Spending More Time With the Nerd

After that, we talked a bit more.

She was still insanely shy, but once she started explaining magic, she got weirdly passionate.

✔ She knew way too much about mana flow.

✔ She actually laughed once (quietly, but still).

✔ She stopped hiding behind her book every five seconds.

Before I left, I casually said—

"Hey. Wanna be friends?"

She froze.

Her spoon clattered onto the table.

Then, slowly, she whispered—

"F-Friends…?"

I nodded. "Yeah. Y'know, normal people have those."

She stared at me like I had just spoken ancient magic.

Then, very softly—

She nodded.

Going Home to Train Some More

After making sure she was fine, I finally left and went back to my inn.

I sat on the floor, closed my eyes, and focused on my mana again.

This time, I didn't just sense it—I tried moving it.

And slowly, I could feel it responding.

The sword hummed. "Well, look at you. Learning magic like a real mage."

I smirked. "Damn right."

Because now?

I had everything I needed to master my new telekinesis power.

Final Thought – This Might Actually Work Out

✔ I learned how to sense mana.

✔ I made a new "friend" (technically).

✔ Now, I could finally start mastering magic control.

The sword hummed. "Told you. You're collecting people now."

I groaned. "Shut up."

But honestly?

Maybe this wasn't so bad.
